***Official*** Ran a 10K FFL - Can anyone catch the old man? (2 Viewers)

Worrie - the draft is going to be on ESPN on the league site.

Everyone - I think the rules and roster sizes / requirements are locked in, but I just noticed the draft setting is at 90s/pick (and then after that I believe it'll auto-pick based on your pre-draft list or ESPN's own list if you don't have one). Do you guys want a bit more time? If I get 5 or more replies on here requesting more time by 7 PM EST (1 hour before the draft) tomorrow I'll set the "time per pick" to 2min. (that's the most time the ESPN league would let me change it to).

As someone who has done a few ESPN drafts, the 2 minute time is a must. Especially if a few guys haven't been on there before. 90 seconds is WAY too quick.

 
I'm a slow ultra guy, I need 5 minutes per pick. I'll be busy eating and drinking.

I actually have two drafts going on at the same time, so I wouldn't be opposed to 2 minutes. But as long as you can take yourself off autodraft if it kicks in, as then you're only screwed if you're at one of the turns and the ESPNwebs, powered by Matthew Berry, makes consecutive picks for you.

 
Never done one on ESPN, but if the mechanics of this are hard enough that Chief says we need the extra time I say we go ahead and do that.

 
Which reminds me, if anyone has tips on the mechanics of ESPN site and such please spill. I will be screaming in from work and getting on here. Anything to help avoid issues would be great.

ETA: Thanks Steve for putting me in the same division with triman and SFBayDuck. Good to see you're stacking the class of this group in the West. :thumbup:

It's in the north ....duh.

 
Good to thing we won't use audio - we'd spend the whole draft trash talking across the country instead of making picks. :P

So Ned likes to buy a lot of magazines and then auto-pick. Got it.

 
Guys - I'm likely going to have to autopick my first 2-3 rounds or so. 8:00pm EST is right in the middle of kid bedtime. Don't worry, I altered the ESPN default rankings :)

 
lol I will be doing two drafts at once. One on yahoo and this one. That should be fun. Good thing I have experience multi tabling 16 poker games at a time so I should be able to handle it. haha

 
Nobody wants to switch spots huh? ok dokie I predict I will crush my first 3 picks but 2 of them will get injured causing me to lose every game.

Same here, starting another draft on Sportsline at 6:00 Pacific for a league that I commish and my primary league.

Good thing I have 2 laptops, an external monitor, and an ipad to use.

I'm having trouble launching the draft application. I click and a box shows up, but nothing is in that window. I will keep trying. I should probably start drinking beer now.

You might try a different browser or see if you have a pop-up blocker enabled.

 
I was getting a #2048 error when trying to launch the live draft using Firefox. Works perfect in Chrome.

Oh, and it doesn't take a mirror to make things look smaller.

 
So no free waivers until the season starts? From what I can tell (and it's hard - that site is not laid out well) we are already on a waiver system. If so when is the next waivers processing window? During the season when are waivers processed?

You know your draft sucked when you're looking to waivers 20mins after the draft ended. :whistle:

 
Sorry I couldn't make the draft guys - I train in the mornings and at lunch, so the evenings are always family time. I was hoping to have the kids in bed a little early, but the last one didn't get down until about 9:10. I figured the draft, if not over, was pretty much over, so I didn't even bother.

That said, WTF ESPN?

A BACKUP QB in the 6th?

Chris Ivory/Shonn Greene/Donald Brown in the 9th/10th/11th?

Coby Fleener as a starting TE? Is he even rosterable at this point?

Send offers Newton or Stafford. Looking for a TE :(
