Dumb question - I can draft right from the ESPN fantasy football mobile app, right? I don't have to be in front of my PC or anything, right?

I've never used it, but I did look into that the other night. Looks like you can draft from their app.

I've set the East/West divisions based on the draft order.

Odd picks = East

Even picks = West

For the playoffs, the generic setup gave us 4 teams. With a 16 team league, I think we should expand that to 6. Thoughts?

#1 and #2 seeds = division winners

#3 - #6 seeds = next best records

seeding tiebreakers = Winning %, Overall Points Scored, Head to Head

Week 14 = #6 vs #3 and #4 vs #5. #1 & #2 bye week

Week 15 = #1 gets worst remaining seed; #2 gets the other

Week 16 = Championship game

:kicksrock: Bama in the west? What is this, the SEC?

ETA: just noticed Sand is in the east. I guess that's fine but is it possible to set this up geographically?

Fine, I'll rename the divisions. You're now in the Slow Pokes division.

East = Slow Pokes

West = Fast Guys

I hope so, because if we can't, I'm ####ed. Gonna be in the car on Sunday night.

Not sure that we have 8 triers. At this point, we'll stick with the odd/even, I presume. Although if worrier and I were together, we'd have the basis for an AARP division.

Does the actual draft site show up later today, or do I not see that specific link in our league site? I see the pre-ordering of players.

The draft link won't appear unitl 1 hour before draft time.

I did make sure that all 16 of us have joined the league, so we're all set for tonight!

"ENTERING YOUR LIVE ONLINE DRAFT

You can enter your live draft as early as one hour before the scheduled start time. Links to enter the draft are available on your League Office and My Team pages. Please keep in mind that all leagues MUST be full in order for a draft to begin, so league managers, pay attention and make sure all your league's team owners have joined with their teams at least one hour before your draft! If a league is not full, it will NOT convert into draft mode, and the draft time will be rescheduled."

hoping we're home in time tonight. We should be, but we're hitting the lake up in Tennessee most of the day.

Haven't checked. Which one am I in?

The one with SteveC.

Not that I need it yet, but the link from the main league website to the draft part of it is completely eluding me.

Apparently I can't draft using my Droid.

Computer decided now would be a good time to update.

Hope to make it in on time.

Just send me your password. I'll make sure you have the best backup tight end a guy could draft.

So how do you think you guys did last night?

WRs flew off the board so fast; I really hated being 1.02. I think the best value I can remember seeing was Nigel getting Stafford at 7.11.

Downside of going Gronk/Cobb 1/2 is that my RBs are positively horrendous.

First time drafting in a 16 teamer, what a difference 4 additional teams makes.

Yep, that's the thing about 16 teamers. We all have holes - depth is going to play a big role.

I like my starting group quite a bit, but I should have waited on a QB till later. Was surprised so many were available so late, especially with a 16 team league.

I fully expect Trent Richardson to be a 1250yd, 8 TD guy this year. Book it.

Oh, and FBG rate my team thing gave me a 75% chance of making the playoffs with adequate management. So I figure it's a coin flip.

It was my first time with a 16 team draft, it was fun. No one has any depth, so injuries are going to be a huge factor.

Where is this? I am a member, but I only read the emails. Is there a rate my team type thing on the subscriber area?

Rate my Team.

My team using the projections of David Dodds:

  • With great inseason management, we think you have about a 99 percent chance of making the playoffs.
  • With good inseason management, we think you have about a 90 percent chance of making the playoffs.
  • With average inseason management, we think you have a 81 percent chance of making the playoffs.

This surprised me too. The first couple went EARLY. When I sat there at the 4/5 turn and saw what other RB/WR/TE were left, I thought for sure the QB run was going to happen. So I jumped on Ryan in the hopes I'd avoid getting stuck with Alex Smith as my QB (sorry, GB). Figures Nigel gets Stafford at 7.11

If Reed stays / gets healthy, mission accomplished.

yeah, I only took Brees because nobody else excited me and in my other larger leagues QB went faster around that point. Should have taken a WR or RB there.

  • With great inseason management, we think you have about a 75 percent chance of making the playoffs.
  • With good inseason management, we think you have about a 60 percent chance of making the playoffs.
  • With average inseason management, we think you have a 42 percent chance of making the playoffs.

I obviously wouldn't have gone WR-WR-WR if I'd been on time, so that put me behind on RB. And then I planned to be the last to take a QB, but then people started taking their 2nd before I got to my first - hence being stuck with Alex Smith.

Overview:

Your receivers are the strongest part of this team. It's rare for us to endorse a team with weaknesses at quarterback and running back, but we're doing it right here! You should have a contender here. But your margin for error in terms of inseason management could be a bit thinner than some of your competitors'. You must remain committed to finding 2015's emergent players at RB and QB.

Players we particularly like on this team include Odell Beckham Jr, Rueben Randle, Darren Sproles, and Nick Foles. We have all these guys ranked ahead of where they are typically being drafted.

Bottom line:

  • With great inseason management, we think you have about a 85 percent chance of making the playoffs.
  • With good inseason management, we think you have about a 80 percent chance of making the playoffs.
  • With average inseason management, we think you have a 70 percent chance of making the playoffs.

I was initially upset I didn't get Gronk or Luck, but it ended up working out well I think. Even though I missed Stafford by one pick still having the option of Rivers or Bridegwater at 7.12 seemed like a gift.

:X :yucky: :wall:  :hot: :bs: :kicksrock:

Do you have to manually enter your roster for "Rate My Team," or if you're linked to this league in MyFBG, is there a button you can just click somewhere?

My Link

I love Luck, Gore, Foster/Blue, and Witten, but my WRs are :X , and my depth is nonexistent. I need Jeff Janis to become Jordy Nelson 2.0 and for Victor Cruz to turn back the clock to 2012.
