C'mon.Biggie drafted before Tupac? What a joke. Biggie had like two good songs. The rest is just a fat guy who can barely catch his breath.

Good postingHe hates you too. You should've gotten the rappers from The Coup.Love Paris but he fell off after one great album

hip hop leaves me coldBiggie drafted before Tupac? What a joke. Biggie had like two good songs. The rest is just a fat guy who can barely catch his breath.![]()
Above schtick aside, I seriously considered Boots from the Coup. You can't front, these are GREAT songs:He hates you too. You should've gotten the rappers from The Coup.Love Paris but he fell off after one great album
Definitely Chi Ali. his album was very good.Speaking of A+, who was the best child rapper? that was a definitely a trend for a while. I have Chi Ali, Shyheim, Jamal, Malik, A+ up there.... and don't forget my boy 2 Low representing Houston. Just pulled up this duet he did w/ Scarface:
Agreed. Guy HAS to be trolling and I own everything Pac has ever officially released(can't say I have EVERY single s###ty mixtape he posthumously "released").Biggie drafted before Tupac? What a joke. Biggie had like two good songs. The rest is just a fat guy who can barely catch his breath.![]()
Like both of these guys. The locals I'd consider would be Dre Dogg (Andre Nickatina) and Ant Banks.
Solid flex guy.I very seriously considered drafting Bushwick Bill for my flex spot. In retrospect, maybe I should have. Perfect hypeman: a midget with hardcore lyrics and occasional ghetto political consciousness thrown in that's crazy enough to force his girlfriend to shoot him in the eye. What's not to love?
Dont know this guy, but if you didnt post the artist, I wouldve swore this was a verse off Das EFX Dead SeriousA little surprised Son Doobie didn't get drafted. I always loved his flow and the dude dropped crazy knowledge. I liken him to a West Coast KRS:
I'm iller than a porno I got skills like Zorro
Who's Perry Como? Tomorrow tomorrow
Like Ophan Annie yo it's the uncanny
Doobie with bonified funk for your fanny
Suckers, I pick 'em, so who be my victim
BLRRLL stick 'em, and boogers, I flick 'em
I'm guilty your honor, I rock like Nirvana
So f*** a piranha, just like Jefferry Dahmer

He was oddly enough my favorite rapper in The Geto Boys when I was growing up in Houston. Loved his voice and flow on Grip It On That Other Level but his future efforts didn't really hold up over time as I began to appreciate lyricism. This was my favorite ish when I first heard album:Solid flex guy.I very seriously considered drafting Bushwick Bill for my flex spot. In retrospect, maybe I should have. Yeah, loved this draft, a lot of fun to put a group together, even moreso than drafting albums or songs, etc. I had hip hop dreams the other night when I knew the draft was gonna be over the next morning.I have some Felt and Blue Scholars, like both. I wouldnt call Felt west coast though since its Murs and Slug and Slug is midwest, but the sound is more WC. Rhymefest I believe is from Chicago or somewhere midwest. I remember checking out Common Market awhile back and liked what I heard, but never got around to getting their album. Never heard of the rest, I'll have toX 100000000I can tell you guys are from NY/NJ. You guys are dropping serious names i've never heard of, but I went back to school a few years ago and dont have the money to buy the vinyl i used to. That is going to change soon. Most of the new stuff i've been getting into lately if from the West Coast. I'm sure you guys know the usual suspects like People Under the Stairs and Lifesavas, but do you know:Giant PandaFeltLanguage Arts CrewJunk ScienceThe Prime MeridianBlue ScholarsRhymefestCodename : ScorpionCommon MarketAgain, all of these guys might not be WC, but I'd think they were.Me too.Really loved doing this. I could talk about hip-hop all day and never get tired.![]()

Cool..I didnt really get into hip hop until like 2005...Ive done my best at crate diggin and finding great albums, but Im sure theres a lot of stuff that was released before I was 10 like this that Ive overlooked.most fans of hip hop would know Funkdoobiest...you should check some of their tracks...lots of gemsDont know this guy, but if you didnt post the artist, I wouldve swore this was a verse off Das EFX Dead SeriousA little surprised Son Doobie didn't get drafted. Is this the Akbar's Groove guy from back in the day? I haven't heard a ton of Panik's production, but everytime I hear something I like it. Gonna have to start istalking him.One of my favorite songs most you guys have probably never heard
GZA credits KP for giving him the idea for Labels. I always had wondered if he got the idea from Diamond D's line in Show Business "get a good lawyer so problems won't pile/You don't wanna make a Pitch that's Wild".Obviously I think KP is #1 here, but I can see the argument for Killa Sin or Shyheim. Holocaust had a few great verses but his brain turned to mush too quickly and his lyrics followed. Street Life seemed solid but unspectacular - rarely did he leave me wanting to hear more. Could really care less about Timbo King or any other Wu affiliates.
Christ Bearer is one of the worst rappers I've ever heard. No love for
No love for
Kurtis Blow Jr. is putting some stuff out now. He's not bad. Check out Mario Kart on Youtube.Mix Master Ice an Kurtis Blow are on Sirius Backspin right now for the Friday night something mix. Always great stuff. Mixing some old Art of Noise right now.
Kurtis Blow was my first favorite rapper. "Ego Trip" was the first cassette tape I ever bought. Back in 1984 at the tender age of 7. Almost drafted him for pure nostalgia's sake.Mix Master Ice an Kurtis Blow are on Sirius Backspin right now for the Friday night something mix. Always great stuff. Yup... same dude'Major said:One of my favorite songs most you guys have probably never heard
Not really a fan of Evidence. Sounds like he's switched up his flow some since I've last heard him. That track is proof that Alchemist was a steal as the 11th producer off the board though.Another person who probably could have been drafted.
Not a huge Evidence guy myself but Iriscience is def in my throw together group. Dude is crazy nice. I had Babu on my list of producers too.Not really a fan of Evidence. I think that's a cool idea and it would work. However, is there any way that we could get a consensus on the criteria? That way we can at least be discussing and voting on the same things. As far as the voting goes, I'd still prefer an NCAA tourney style bracket. Other alternatives would be drafters and observers submitting their top 5 and the team with the lowest score wins.
I know the FFA peanut gallery doesn't get a vote because we don't know #### about rap/hip-hop, but I would cast mine for Cliff Clavin I would have nabbed Tech N9ne over Charlie 2na and Yelawolf (yes, I know he's from the south) or Brotha Lynch Hung over Krazie Bone in the wild card slot, but he still blew the doors off. I'm an admitted West Coast hardcore rap junkie, so I hope you East Coast guys don't take it personally. Also, eakfootball's 2nd (Mike Shinoda) and 3rd round (Dr. Dre) MC picks should be enough to get him kicked out of the competition.1.17 Aaron Rudnicki - Ice Cube, MC2.02 Aaron Rudnicki - Q-Tip, MC3.17 Aaron Rudnicki - Prince Paul, Producer4.02 Aaron Rudnicki - Del the Funky Homosapien, MC5.17 Aaron Rudnicki - Gift of Gab, MC6.02 Aaron Rudnicki - Hi-Tek, Producer7.17 Aaron Rudnicki - Wise Intelligent, MC8.02 Aaron Rudnicki - B-Real 1.09 ACP - Rakim, MC2.10 ACP - J Dilla, Producer3.09 ACP - Chuck D, MC4.10 ACP - Posdnuos, MC5.09 ACP – Kool Keith, MC6.10 ACP - Stoupe, Producer7.09 ACP - Ol' Dirty *******/Ason/Osirus/Big Baby Jesus, MC8.10 ACP - DJ Shadow, Wildcard DJ/Producer 1.07 Arizona Ron - Redman, MC2.12 Arizona Ron - Salaam Remi, Producer3.07 Arizona Ron - Jadakiss, MC4.12 Arizona Ron - Noreaga, MC5.07 Arizona Ron – D.O.C., MC6.12 Arizona Ron - Freeway, MC7.07 Arizona Ron - Timbaland, Producer8.12 Arizona Ron - Murder Ma$e, MC 1.05 Cliff Clavin - 2Pac, MC2.14 Cliff Clavin - Nate Dogg, MC3.05 Cliff Clavin - Snoop Dogg, MC4.14 Cliff Clavin - DJ Quik, Producer5.05 Cliff Clavin - Too Short, MC6.14 Cliff Clavin - Charlie 2na, MC7.05 Cliff Clavin - Daz, Producer8.14 Cliff Clavin - Krazie Bone, Wildcard 1.14 eakfootball - Big Boi, MC2.05 eakfootball - Mike Shinoda, MC3.14 eakfootball - Dr. Dre, MC4.05 eakfootball - Diamond D, Producer5.14 eakfootball - Fabulous, MC6.05 eakfootball - Jam Master Jay, Producer7.14 eakfootball - J. good call. i totally forgot about him. There was a period of time(around the shutem down album) we he was one of the best at that time. He MURDERS this beat. really this entire album.A little surprised Sticky Fingaz didn't get picked...I almost drafted him with my last pick. Dude pretty much stole every track he was on with Onyx. Great addition to a supergroup IMO.
Also surprised EST didn't get drafted solely for his dope fade: http://youtu.be/MUsaSCRdtYI
Sticky would've made a good 5th MC for a lot of groups. Funny, I was just watching that 3x Dope video the other day.A little surprised Sticky Fingaz didn't get picked...I almost drafted him with my last pick. Dude pretty much stole every track he was on with Onyx. Great addition to a supergroup IMO.
Also surprised EST didn't get drafted solely for his dope fade: http://youtu.be/MUsaSCRdtYI
Wrote a quick sript to drop them in Excel. Piece of cake. Thanks for putting the teams together Ron.
