****OFFICIAL**** Sox / Halos ALDS Thread (1 Viewer)

Is there a better feeling in the world than that? That's the second hardest home run I've seen Manny hit out of Fenway. Great game. Bullpens at their best. Manny back, healthy, tested and delivering.
....that's what $143M gets you...

$143M vs $61M shoudl be fantastic.Rollseyes.
Interestingly, the RedSox bought out Manny from the Indians...$13M to Ortiz from the Twins$13M for Schilling from the DBacks$14M JD DrewManny, etc.... store bought. Baseball with steriods and salaries deserves the big asterisk it's getting.

Maybe you should just watch football and ignore baseball?
The Steelers wouldn't EXIST currently if the NFL was structured like baseball... and that's sad.

Can you imagine if this were 1960? Manny Ramirez would get a fastball at his head on Sunday for standing there and raising his hands at the plate after hitting that home run. Teams have no balls anymore.

Yea, cause players never celebrated after hitting walk-off homeruns before.

Whoa... Curtis Granderson.. um 26... and 10 times better on TV than a gazillion ex-veterans. Props to him. Calm, composed, yet still has the casual add to the game. Congrats.... was that bald ******* Ripken.. who is that? Looks like Ripken?

Try being a Blue Jays fan, where you are up against the two worst offenders. There is a real simple solution though...don't watch! I used to go to about 20 Jays games a year, but realized years ago there is no point and after having been to a game every year for almost 20 years I stopped going. I watch the occasional playoff game, but that is the extent of my baseball interest.Something tells me that MLB isn't too worried about it.

You celebrate after you reach home plate. To stand there and raise your arms in the air like Ramirez did is completely showing the other team up. It is not like he is the only one who does it anymore, though. It is just something I personally am tired of seeing. The lack of respect shown by such behavior is just sad. I roll my eyes when players on my favorite team do it, too.

GG halos...

Either Ortiz or Manny is getting drilled tomorrow....Manny for what happened yesterday, or Ortiz for this:

Aug. 18 at Fenway Park: Red Sox 10, Angels 5 * David Ortiz draws the ire of Weaver in this one. After crushing a grand slam to cap a six-run fifth inning, the Boston slugger flips his bat, watches the ball and waits to take a few short steps before even starting his trot. Weaver glares at Ortiz around the bases, and says, "I'll remember it the next time we play them, that's for sure."

i have to go to a freakin wedding tomorrow but it'll be fun to wear my sox t-shirt as an undershirt. especially here in socal! everyone will think it's an angel shirt...good times!

I think Jose Mota is in the running (w/ Joe Buck) for worst TV personalities who got their job solely based on their last name.

Dude looks and sounds like some guy I'd expect to be sending me emails about a multimilion dollar inheritance from a long lost nigerian relative.
