bears. They got the defense and my guy grossman is going to prove why he was a first round pick. He is going to stay healthy.

I got a write in vote....

Atlanta Falcons

I think the improvements they made on defence will be the perfect compliment for the #1 rushing team, and Vick will make the necessary strides this season to put them over the hump

I knew it wouldn't take long for some of these other teams to come up. Only 15 choices I could give.

I had to remove the Cardinals and Panthers from the mix....

I don't think the Jags have a snowballs chance in hell... I should have left them off and put the Panthers in there.

I predict that fans of the losing team (and/or who dislike the winning team) will whine incessantly about the officiating.

The Jerk,I believe that you are mature enough not to whine when the Steel Curtain is shredded.

So you're saying the Steelers will make the Super Bowl but lose? That's pretty high praise coming from you! ;)

No, you would fall under the heading of those who "dislike the winning team (Seahawks)". The Steelers will be shredded early and often.P.S., It's good to hear from you again.

The exclusion of Carolina makes this poll a farce. I am not saying I would have picked them, but considering they were a final four team last season and have made some good offseason moves to improve their team, to not consider them one of the top 15 teams to put in this poll was rather foolish.

Same here. Hope all is well in SeaBassLand. And if it applies, Happy Fathers Day!

Same to you.Even though we have fun with one another I continue to respect your posts and opinions. I'm glad that Ben is recovering nicely.

Hey Sea Bass! One more thing (and I apologize in advance):I heard that many Seahawk fans are claiming that Ben didn't break the plane of the windshield. :bag:

But seriously... thanks for the kind thoughts. Ben's situation went way beyond football concerns, and we can all agree that he's one very fortunate dude.

I honestly believe that most of the Super Bowl crying and attacks on Ben came from Steeler haters and not Seahawk fans. I could be wrong, but I think that Hawk fans on this board have been genuine in their beliefs.Sorry to Hijack the thread. I'm going to bed, so you guys can return to your regular scheduled program.

A better poll would have stopped after the first 6 choices, no NFC teams needed.
Don't forget them pesky Bengals (not on the list). While both Dey and the Steelers will have a tough time making the playoffs given their schedules, I think each is capable of winning once they get there.

Patriots fan here, but I see the Colts vs. Cowboys in the SB and the Cowboys winning it.
The Cowboys would be the most difficult matchup of any NFC team for the Colts (assuming the Cowboys become a Super Bowl contender instead of just one in theory) - so if the Colts somehow ever got past the AFC in the playoffs (I know, fat chance) - this would be the team I'd least want to face in the NFC.

For real? I can't imagine being that scared of playing a team with Drew Bledsoe behind center.

It appears I should have left the Bucs/Jags off, and included the Panthers/Chiefs. My bad:

Indianapolis Colts 6-1

New England Patriots 8-1

San Diego Chargers 14-1

Pittsburgh Steelers 10-1

Cincinnati Bengals 20-1

Denver Broncos 10-1

Seattle Seahawks 10-1

Kansas City Chiefs 20-1

Carolina Panthers 13-1

Dallas Cowboys 12-1

Washington Redskins 14-1

New York Giants 16-1

Chicago Bears 16-1

Philadelphia Eagles 18-1

Miami Dolphins 25-1

tied: Jacksonville Jaguars 30-1

Tampa Bay Buccaneers 30-1

Atlanta Falcons 30-1

Minnesota Vikings 30-1

Baltimore Ravens 40-1

Oakland Raiders 100-1

St Louis Rams 60-1

Buffalo Bills 100-1

Cleveland Browns 100-1

Detroit Lions 100-1

Arizona Cardinals 45-1

New York Jets 100-1

Green Bay Packers 100-1

Houston Texans 100-1

Tennessee Titans 100-1

San Francisco 49ers 150-1

New Orleans Saints 50-1

Flame me if you wish, but I think Philly has been flying WAAAY too far under the radar. McNabb's healthy again, and the reciver corps is deeper then ever before. Everyone seems to be forgetting that they went to several championship games before TO with lesser recievers then they have now.

The O-Line looks great, and the d-line looks improved, maybe even very good. They have two versatile RB's that will cause defenses fits, and a couple of good-looking recieving TE's that are no slouch in run blocking.

Meanwhile, Cincinatti is still pretty young, and SHOULD be better then last year, especially if CP misses no real time. Every report I've seen has him well ahead of schedule, and likely ready to start the season.

Philly in a shootout over Cincy :boxing:

Steelers...but only if Ben gets back to form physically for the beginning of the season. Their defense should be just as good, and if their young offensive players improve like Ben, Parker, and Heath Miller, then they look to have a really dominant team in 2006, on paper at least.

I think the Cowboys are going to be good but I am seeing a trend and it looks like they will be the most overrated team going into the season. I really believe the Giants are better, and with the Eagles and Redskins both projected as pretty good teams...Cowboys will have a tough road. They have to play those six games plus the NFC South but they do get a break playing the AFC South with two easy games. I still don't see anyone in that division coming out better than 10-6 which means road games in the playoffs in a pretty tight NFC.

Again, I think Dallas is going to be pretty good but the chips are stacked against them and a perfect scenario is hard to see.

Dallas is the only NFC contender that plays a 3-4 D. That is what gives the Colts problems.

Bring those predictions now boys!

For me it's a NO brainer!

Da Bears.
What a joke of a poll. You could've at least looked up the top 15 teams for real-life SB odds.

Bengals and Panthers have just as good a chance as 90% of the teams on this list.

AFC

Colts over Patriots

NFC

Seahawks over Panthers

SB XLI

Seahawks over Colts

I should have left flippin Seattle off the list. They don't have a chance.

Who's the last Super Bowl loser to make the playoffs the next year?

Wasn't it the Titans?

Broncos fan voting for the Patriots.

I think this is the year that Brady finally beats a non-Danny Kannell-led Denver team in the Divisional Round (at New England this time), and the Patriots take out the Colts in the AFCC before defeating Atlanta in the Super Bowl.

Yeah, because the Panthers WILL WIN IT ALL :football: :P

Hmm....The cover boy of Madden still out...Bobby Engram with some mysterious ailment with his thyroid...And Hasselbeck now hurt...It appears the stars are aligning for this trend of losing Super Bowl teams to fail to make the playoffs will continue.
