He’s never been the most fit guy but last night he looked real bad.Does he ever?

Wilder seems scared to throw the right because Ortiz was countering it so easilyOrtiz may not have a lot left, but Wilder looks afraid to press.
I'm amazed he got through round 7.outstanding fight. Wilder really impressed me tonight against a very good fighter. Chin officially tested.
Not far off.Guesses on Wilder/Joshua odds?
Joshua - 200
Wilder +175?
They're taking some care in bringing Kovalev back, but I would imagine the training wheels are off for his next one. You can forget just how good of a damn boxer Kovalev is, he's got skills.Yeah pointless one sided match-up
Plus he’s up there in age so there’s not a lot of room to be patientThey're taking some care in bringing Kovalev back, but I would imagine the training wheels are off for his next one. You can forget just how good of a damn boxer Kovalev is, he's got skills.
Man, they got that up quick. There isn't even a fight yet.
Been up since last year. Usually there is a date of expiry, fight has to happen this year or no action.Man, they got that up quick. There isn't even a fight yet.
Gotcha. Feels about right, I was trying to decide what line would make me equally intrigued on either side.Been up since last year. Usually there is a date of expiry, fight has to happen this year or no action.
Agree. Even with some of Wilder's limitations on display, this fight really raised his stock here in the States. It definitely exceeded my expectations, despite some early lulls.
In terms of making Joshua-Wilder sooner, it could not have gone better- whetted the public's appetite with fearsome power by Wilder while still making him seem vulnerable and beatable in the eyes of the Joshua camp.
It takes two to tango. Cuba has the best amateur program in the world, they typically are smooth, beautiful fighters. Doesnt always translate to the pros, and they typically have trouble garnering interest.TripItUp said:Ortiz seemed like he may have been a hell of a fighter when younger, why did he wait until he was 38 for a meaningful fight?
Not to mention he had to defect in order to turn pro.It takes two to tango. Cuba has the best amateur program in the world, they typically are smooth, beautiful fighters. Doesnt always translate to the pros, and they typically have trouble garnering interest.
And Ortiz's stated age is almost certainly far lower than his real one.
There is blood splatter all over the ring.I don't know if anyone's watching this fight on ESPN, Valdez/Quigg, but it's one hell of a slugfest. One of the most action-packed fights I've seen in some time.
