*OFFICIAL* Thread: WIS X and the Cluster of Sim (1 Viewer)

A lot of you all are writing guys with 1.20+ WHIPs and .240+ OAVs. I'll bet a lot of those guys will end up being pretty serviceable.
I bet they won't...every offense in this is better than I was expecting.
Some will ... it'll be hit or miss. Remember, a lot of them will have smallish sample sizes due to their IP being limited by our management settings. It won't surprise me at all to see some of those RPs pitch, say, 1/3 of their available IP, but at a better clip than their stats indicate.
I guess I can't argue with that...these lineups are much better than I was expecting. Even mine is going into the season with an OPS of around .930 and a lot of these pitchers are at the threshold where it could get ridiculous with a lineup like that.
SIM live play is gonna really get to people because it will be fun because I think there are gonna be a lot of runs scored, but from the looks of it these bullpens are going to end up making 4-3 games in the 7th 11-9 games in the 9th. Oh, and then there is the absolute enemy of SIM Live...extra innings. Of course this version probably has more innings in hand than any other we've ever done but I see a lot of 9-8 14 inning games coming.

Big Unit, Wood, and Hippo better be ready to log some f'ing innings because god help me when it gets to the bullpen. About the only guy I feel even remotely confident about in the 'pen in Bryan Harvey.
"Ouch"
Adding Big Unit helped and I do like my top 3 starters, but after that, it gets very rocky. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised to see Nolan Ryan in the bullpen depending on who I take with my last pick and how I roll.

DID YOU KNOW?My father was THE guy that trained him for his post-baseball career of broadcasting. He currently is the color guy for Cardinals broadcasts on Fox Sports Midwest.

This fact was brought to you by the Sons of Former Broadcasters Organization of America.

Seconded.
That doesn't even look right when it's thrown altogether like that. It's kind of like looking at hot strippers wrestling in peanut butter.

I interviewed him, Darrell Evans, and two guys who still might get drafted and they were all super. He admitted most of the stuff he did was shtick but one of the guys I can't name said he was actually quite crazy.

could be had in a trade:

OF 1996 Brady Anderson L 687 579 50 110 21-8 106-76 11.6 .297 .396 .637 A/A $7,897,046

OF 1980 Ken Griffey Sr. L 615 544 13 85 23-1 77-62 41.8 .294 .364 .454 B/C $4,617,647

OF 2001 Moises Alou R 581 513 27 108 5-1 57-57 19.0 .331 .396 .554 A/D $5,410,206

Griffey is the cheapest, Anderson is the hardest to get... looking for pitching, preferably relief pitching...

My dad can attest that Hungo was pretty crazy. Tough, hard, straight forward guy. Stubborn as a mule when he was being taught how to be a good broadcaster.

I would just like to remind the drafting public that legendary 1st baseman Hank Greenberg and his approx 45 HR's that he'll add to your lineup is available.

I seek pitching. Sweet, sweet pitching. I will consider any offer.

I notice there's no one out there offering to trade pitching for hitting (except for ianfitzy dangling his his relievers out there.

This is not quite Spartans good, but maybe 2nd fiddle?

One of those starters will likely relieve a lot of the time. FIsher and Izzy should be solid. Jackson will be iffy. Guardado is turrible.
