This is pretty much how my games are gonna go. Dominant SP performance, very nice offense, then the pen comes in and we hang on for dear life.

On July 3rd beginning at noon EDT, owners can draft their 25th rounders on a first come, first served basis. If you won't be around, please feel free to leave a list with me. I'll process lists in the order received and post them near the top of the hour.

I drafted Manny Sanguillen to create the league last night. He's now officially on the Old Men's roster as my 25th rounder, so please plan your last picks accordingly. If I sniped anyone, Manny will buy you a beer next time he sees you in real-life.

you guys got any name ideas???

I am signing up when I get to work (3:30-ish)... I think it won't be blocked (although I don't know for sure)

Sparty On- 6

The Big Units- 7

I....won. :hot:

Wilbur Wood went 9 and 1/3 innings, allowing 5 runs on 10 hits, 3 walks, and 4 k's. I had to step away for about two innings and I left him in longer than I should have. Save for an error by Ventura, with runners in 1st and 2nd and one out, Bryan Harvey did what I drafted him to do: CLOSE THE GAME.

Maybe I'm not so bad after all....

I'll be on in about an hour or so for more SIMLIVE.

should we just pick an Open Play Venue to find each other? #1 is always pretty full, so what if we just all went to #4?

p.s. beat ianfitzy in my first simlive game. Kid Nichols over Jake Peavy, 4-1

6-2 so far in SimLive. Bullpen not good, but not as disastrous as feared. Starting pitching awesome as expected. Offense better than expected, although I was hoping for more HRs.

Prayer answered. Back-to-back walkoff wins. One by Sheffield, the other by Rich Aurilia of all people.

Larry Gura 74, 76, 77, 78, 80, 81

1d6, rolled once.

Roll set 1

Die rolls: 6

Roll total: 6

Got lucky here with an '81, and I may need all the help I can get.

FWIW, Wilbur Cooper (deadballer, no HRs, .104 WHIP and 335 innings) is on the block in conjunction with a decent starter with a lot of innings or one of my offensive players for a true #1 pitcher (he is/was my #2, will likely be #2 behind Gura).

Would also still do a pitcher/offensive player deal to get a top tier bat.

so I'll be signing up at about 12:30 tonight central time... and can play sim-live for a while then... otherwise I should hopefully be on at like 12 or so tomorow afternoon for a while...
