Sorry for bailing, pik. I got pulled away for work.

Some kids dream of being firemen. Some dream of being policemen, and some dream of being astronauts. However, when my guidance counseler asked me what my dream job was, I told him it was manually coalating and stapling documents! I also expressed a desire to bust my tail working on projects that will make other people rich and won't add any more food on my plate!

I don't understand what makes people pull away from their dreams and instead do jobs that they hate so they can buy #### they don't need (thank you Tyler Durden).

Despite the fact that I have two 1st round picks in my rotation, my pitching is probably worst in the league.

5 runs seems to be the minimum against my squad. Mathewson has an ERA near 6. Unit is probably the same.

Petrocelli = CLUTCH.

Guy has pedestrian numbers expect for his 20 RBIs. Nothing special most of the time, but when there's runners on and/or I need a big hit, he comes through.

Manny Sanguillen is 0 for 17 with no walks or RBI. Anybody got a player working on a bigger donut so far?
He's not quite that bad but 1998 Brad Ausmus is 3/38. He did at least hit a clutch bomb to seal a game late. Im around most of the day today. Text me if u wanna simlive anyone.

no, but a question for you about Manny. In game 3 of our series, scheduled for tonight, the site says that Sanguillen will be catching, whereas Schang caught game 1 and will catch game 2 this afternoon. I couldn't figure out how it would know that. All of my starters are Righties, so it's not the L/R split. I don't remember seeing anything in the settings that would do that automatically. Didn't figure it could be rest, because how would the site know that Schang would need rest 2 games in advance. What am i missing?

Will be in and out of live today.

WTF is up with Larry Gura? No bad numbers, good plus numbers, low HRs, 1.01 WHIP and he has been just awful.

Beats me. I'm starting Manny against lefties until he gets a hit.

2004 Barry Bonds is a horrendous season. Who the heck thought he was a team-maker? Dude's batting .147, with zero HRs and 1 RBI through 13 games played.

I can't get over how bad my walk rates are. Just horrid.
The engine adjustments seems to overrate walks wildly ... even more than it used to. Barry Bonds may be hitting .147, but he's still getting on base at a .532 clip.Harrier's theory about selling out batting average to get a bunch of walk-freaks in his batting lineup would work a lot better in the sim as it is now.

so what happens with this 2 day shutdown at WIS? i didn't quite understand the explanation. does the schedule get adjusted, or is there some sort of multi-game catchup cycle or what?

That's almost unfathomable.362/.609/.812 RL with a 263OPS+
too many walks
Something I'd like to see in WIS logic would be the ability to pitch around certain batters. That could have a big affect on guys like Ruth/Bonds/MVP Foxx
use what he's doing to your advantage...Bat him leadoff, he's getting on base more than 50% of the time...
