I don't get how that's policing? It seems rather pointless to make the same thread week after week. I mean there's a week 6 venting thread for a reason. For threads like these. Post your "Fire Al Davis" "Fire Matt Millen"(prior to his firing) "Tony Kornheiser Sucks" threads there... or as someone said above, just bump up the last one. Nope. I've just got better things to do with my time than complain about an announcer on TV.And no, actually my fantasy team is in great shape right now. Hense no reason to really complain. I've got bigger things on my mind- like actual life events to worry about. God forbid the TV puts on an announcer I don't like. Maybe next time they should make it a reality show and make sure 100% of all viewers agree on an announcerLighten up Sally. these non-game related threads are a nice diversion from the usual threads .... just a bunch of guys saying what the whole football watching world is thinking. When ESPN tries selling itself as the premier sports channel and then drags out a total hack like Korny to do color commentary for the once-special Monday Night Game, you've got to expect a backlash from fans. I mean, it's so obvious that Korny is hacky and annoying in this position and it's a total no-brainer that he should not be in the booth. THe fact that ESPN continues to employ Korny as a color-man despite his obvious shortcomings is a slap in the face to fans who want to watch and be entertained by the game.
I think FBG is the best site out there and i'd like to think that it's frequented by a few people either employed or somehow connected to the NFL. Getting the word out can't do any harm .... hopefully it'll help. If a site like this one or PFT can get the word out, we might get a reprieve from the weekly verbal garbage that comes out of Korny's mouth. I'd like to think that everyone's bashing of Gumble helped to influence whoever that he needed to go.

Dennis Miller, Gumbel, Kornheiser, etc. are hamhanded attempts by TV and the NFL to grow market share by introducing a "novel" element into the broadcast.We'd all rather see Telemundo babe weather forecast updates, but it aint gonna happen.

someone previously wrote that Korny s here to stay and i dont agree with that statement. Korny seems out of his element and i would doubt that he's proud of what he contributes to the game. i;d be very surprised if he doesn't gracefully bow out in another year or two. you know he can't hold his head too high amongst his broadcasting and media buddies.... he's a joke. it's gotta be the white elephant in the room when he's at those celeb get-togethers.

He wouldn't shut up about how poor the Giants' clock management and lack of urgency was at the end of the game - he was right, and both Tirico and Jaws mentioned it, but Tony kept beating it into the ground, literally saying the same thing every 3 minutes. It got so annoying, even Jaws told him to can it ...

see, comments like this was a "fluke win" is what you get when you stick a talking head in the announce booth. All he is a regurgitator of stats spun in his oh so creative way. He doesn't see the value of stratgizing and finding weaknesses in your opponent. He looks at the stats and says that the Giants will win and anything other than that is a fluke, which is disrespectful to the Browns players, coaches and staff. Obviously, they had a game plan and it worked. Korny should go back to his smart ### way of saying what all the other announcers say on his PTI show.
