Looking forward to the draft, this is a tough field (plus me) and it'll be interesting given that this should be the highest scoring of all the formats. Figured I'd set up the thread and get it rolling.

You won according to the DD.

2 flex plus 1.5 TE made my head hurt tonite. I tried to employ Dodd's perfect draft strategy and it didn't work out as well as I would have liked for two reasons. One, others were following this. Two, I just missed some key targets.

Player YTD Pts Bye Drafted

Cassel, Matt KCC QB - 6 10.10

Cutler, Jay CHI QB - 8 9.03

Manning, Eli NYG QB - 7 8.10

I always pull the trigger early at QB and was determined to wait. Made it to the 8th round this time. Waited until 12 were off the board and grabbed Manning as the best available. The Giants had a favorable early schedule and I already had Bradshaw. I was really concerned about a QB run and with 6 pt TDs wanted to be competitive against the guys with top tier QBs. I really like Cutler's early schedule. Not sure if I like the Cassel pick. Was confident enough in TE and WR depth to get the 3rd QB out of the way early. KC also has a nice early schedule. I should hang well against the field with this trio. Firing 3 shots each week will be nice.

Bradshaw, Ahmad NYG RB - 7 2.10

Peterson, Adrian MIN RB - 9 1.03

Starks, James GBP RB (P) - 8 14.10

Vereen, Shane NEP RB ® (Q) - 7 15.03

Wells, Chris ARI RB - 6 6.10

Surprised ADP was there at 1.3. I had planned on going McCoy with this pick. Three homes games and road games against SD and KC should provide plenty of scoring. Since we're able to start 7 RBs/WRs in this format I wanted to load up early. Bradshaw was head and shoulders above anyone else based on his early schedule. Wells was one of the last full time starters. Starks and Vareen look like they may rack up some garbage time stats in blow out games v. Car/Den and Mia/Buf/Oak.

Bowe, Dwayne KCC WR - 6 3.03

Branch, Deion NEP WR - 7 12.10

Collie, Austin IND WR (P) - 11 5.03

Decker, Eric DEN WR - 6 17.03

Douglas, Harry ATL WR - 8 22.10

Hill, Jason JAC WR - 9 23.03

Manningham, Mario NYG WR - 7 4.10

Royal, Eddie DEN WR (P) - 6 16.10

Williams, Roy CHI WR - 8 11.03

Got scared with the early WR run and took Bowe, Manningham, and Collie even though they didn't seem like huge values. Had my starters at RB and WR locked up and could work out the tow flex positions and value presented itself. Took ROY hoping Knox would make it back...foiled. This pick should have been Hernadez. Happy with Branch as he'll get a couple of TDs over this period. Royal/Decker should be a nice combo posting a score each week between the two. Douglas and Hill were part of the shotgun approach to hanging 4 good scores each week from the WRs. Zero bye issues.

Fasano, Anthony MIA TE - 5 21.03

Graham, Jimmy NOS TE - 11 7.03

This is where I screwed the pooch. Graham was nice value where I got him. I was surprised at how fast the TEs went, even in 1.5 ppr. Was hoping to get a flex play here. I waited just a little too long for Olsen, J. Thomas, and Kendricks. Eventually settled on Fasano out of desparation. Thought about D. Thomas to back up Graham but decided to roll the dice. This position will likely be my undoing. Fasano is my only player with a week 5 bye and NO catches Carolina that week who is always week v. the TE.

Henery, Alex PHI PK ® - 7 18.10

Mare, Olindo CAR PK - 9 24.10

Vinatieri, Adam IND PK - 11 20.10

Wanted three due to the varibility. Probably should have passed on Mare for another TE

Panthers, Carolina CAR Def - 9 19.03

Patriots, New England NEP Def - 7 13.03

Grabbed NE early so I could only go two deep here. This should be sufficient.

Overall despite the DD having me ranked towards the top I feel kind of blah about this team. I really focused on the schedule and drafting guys with favorably matchups. So even though names like Eli, Cassel, and Cutler aren't that exciting, seeing them play from behind against strong offensive teams like Atl, NO, GB, Phi, SD or week secondaries like Car they'll put up strong numbers.

Only have one guy with a week 5 bye only only Varren with an injury concern. Given the 8 necessary starters at RB/WR/TE it's important to have guys scoring points. Week 5 will be a huge swing week between the byes and once injuries start to mount. Add in 6 pt QB TD and yardage bonus kicker scoring to the equation and there wasn't room for flyers who likely won't be playing. I think have have guys who will be getting playing time. Don't need to win this leg, just finish 4th or higher to advance. IF Graham can stay healthy, I should have a shot.

Not sure how I don't advance.

49ers, San Francisco SFO Def - 7 18.11

Broncos, Denver DEN Def - 6 20.11

Texans, Houston HOU Def - 11 19.02

Well week 5 you have 4 WRs (maybe 3 with Johnson facing Philly) to post three scores, 4 RBs to post 3 scores (one of those being Ridley or Rodgers), and 3 TEs to post 2 scores.

Better build up a huge lead coming into this week.

Can we get all the rosters posted? This league had quite the number of inmates on the roster sheet when they went to draft. I would like to see them all and how they stack up against DD.

Well week 5 you have 4 WRs (maybe 3 with Johnson facing Philly) to post three scores, 4 RBs to post 3 scores (one of those being Ridley or Rodgers), and 3 TEs to post 2 scores.

Better build up a huge lead coming into this week.
only a coupla key guys missing. i feel like i grabbed them at the right time. I made one huge mistake for sure though.

I would like to hear how the person who writes all that you do ends up with this? I can certainly see you went the other way and drafted 3 nice WRs to start with Calvin, Wallace and Santonio but even that I start questioning what you are doing in the early rounds. Wallace is not a PPR machine and Holmes IMO has limited upside in comparison to other WR1 types. Hillis in the 4th, OK but after that it starts thinning and then you grabbed back ups...1st 5 weeks I would think gambling on back ups seems pretty risky as a battle plan. QB is solid, not wild about the trio of TEs you took. Davis and Gronk are going too high and Olsen is nice but Cam will be an infant when this starts. Would like to hear what you think of this team-Thanks

I felt Bass crushed this draft, but hopefully I finish in the top 4.

Stafford, Matthew DET QB (P) - 9 7.07

Sanchez, Mark NYJ QB - 8 10.06

Campbell, Jason OAK QB (P) - 8 12.06

I really wanted Stafford in this format as I think the Lions are going to be forced to throw a lot. They have yet to show any ability to run in the preseason and I suspect it continues into the regular season. With 6 points for passing TDs, I wanted three clear cut starters without any lost games due to bye week 5. This position will be a lot of points in this format. I opted to wait and patch together a unit. If Stafford stays healthy, I think it will work as the Lions play a lot of soft defenses in the early going.

Hillis, Peyton CLE RB (P) - 5 4.06

Jacobs, Brandon NYG RB - 7 8.06

Jennings, Rashad JAC RB (P) - 9 13.07

Jones, Thomas KCC RB - 6 14.06

Ringer, Javon TEN RB (P) - 6 15.07

Hardesty, Montario CLE RB (P) - 5 16.06

I will be the first to admit that this is an AWFUL unit. But in a start 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE and 2 flex where the TE gets 1.5 PPR, I purposely went for this strategy. I had my sights on Reggie Bush that got sniped before I picked. Even with week 5 byes, I like my combo of Hillis and Hardesty to hopefully make this unit not as awful as it looks on paper. This unit would be a lot worse if I actually had to choose starters each week. Guys like Jacobs and Thomas should score enough TDs to hopefully disguise the fact that this unit is awful.

Johnson, Calvin DET WR (P) - 9 1.07

Wallace, Mike PIT WR - 11 2.06

Holmes, Santonio NYJ WR - 8 3.07

Burleson, Nate DET WR - 9 11.07

Jones, Jacoby HOU WR - 11 18.06

Briscoe, Dezmon TB WRR - 8 19.07

My starting WRs should be a huge strength for this team. I locked down both Detroit's wideouts building on the theme that I expect Detroit to throw a lot in these early games. Jacoby Jones should be solid and Briscoe is a complete late-round flier.

Davis, Vernon SFO TE - 7 5.07

Gronkowski, Rob NEP TE - 7 6.06

Olsen, Greg CAR TE - 9 9.07

Beckum, Travis NYG TE - 7 23.07

In this draft I was surprised to see TEs sliding. With 1.5 PPR for TEs I was hoping I could make this a strength of my team. I felt I had the best TEs after the draft. I have no bye issues with this group either. I suspect at least one of my flex positions will come from this group each week.

Cundiff, Billy BAL PK - 5 21.07

Gould, Robbie CHI PK - 8 22.06

Barth, Connor TBB PK - 8 24.06

Not usually a three PK guy with only five weeks to cover, but I waited really late before getting my first PK. With three kickers though I think I should be average here.

Lions, Detroit DET Def - 9 17.07

Chiefs, Kansas City KCC Def - 6 20.06

Pretty bad defenses, but both have some returners that might produce. Hoping the sacks generated by the Lions keep me close here.

Pretty solid BnB. All the teams have flaws, but I think you could have hit a home run if you drafted as well on the back 9 as you did on the front 9. (I know it's 12 and 12)

Pickles has the best trio of TEs you can put together legally in these drafts. Owen Daniels, Kellen Winslow, and Aaron Hernandez is simply a sick trio...i don't see anyone with that. Hernandez is going to be the better pass catching TE and the TD totals for the two of them will drop but I think Gronk will be hit the hardest.

The rest of Pickles team...meh.

You should like my draft considering I applied many of your perfect draft concepts during this draft. That said, you killed me with the Gronk and Olsen picks. Even with the 1.5 TE ppr I expected the huge 2nd/3rd tier guys to fall a little further. I main variation from the "perfect draft" was to duplicate your strategy of 3 decent starting QBs w/o a wk 5 bye. This format was brutally tough with little margin for error between the huge numbers of starters needed at RB/WR and then the pumped up QB/TE/K scoring. Would have loved to tackled this in an auction format. On to your team...I almost pulled the trigger on Stafford. Big value there but I was determined to wait and see what happened. With Sanchez and Campbell in the trio you should scored right along with the big dogs who took a QB early.I am surprised at your RBs. If CJ is a no-show you pretty much have a bye to leg 2. Jennings doubles that chance. Hillis and SJackson slid way too late. This group stacks up much better when you start comparing them to many of the other units in the league. If things break right you crush the league here and can coast in week 5.Your 3 WR start sent this league on early tilt and people were scrambling for WRs. In hindsight I wish I had taken another WR at 2.10 instead of Bradshaw and scooped up some RB value later. I don't care for your depth and this could bite you in a best ball format.I was hoping for something closer to your TEs than mine before this draft started. I went stud TE in these 1.5 leagues last year and always found a great flex score at this position. I think you have enough talent here to post two double digit scores each week with a third likely. For what you spent, you'll have the best return in the league at TE and this will be what advances you to leg 2.3 trumps two at PK where the top dogs can easily have a 5 pat, 0 fg week. I also really like your defenses with Det providing the jab and KC the occasional roundhouse.I've been one of those guys in the past who's been left scratching my head after your drafts in the past only to see your squad do exactly what is needed to advance. On paper it doesn't have the WOW factor, but even week someone steps up on your roster to hang a nice number when needed. After looking at all the rosters I didn't see a dominate roster. The DD bears this out too.

League is Done. Don't think I did great, but hopefully my team's not a complete embarrassment.QB: Philip Rivers (3.12), Kevin Kolb (10.01), Matt Hasselbeck (17.02)RB: Rashard Mendenhall (2.01), Fred Jackson (6.01), Tim Hightower (7.12), LaRod Stephens-Howling (16.01), Earnest Graham (23.12)WR: Roddy White (1.12), Percy Harvin (4.01), Marques Colston (5.12), Denarius Moore (11.12), Arrelious Benn (13.12), Earl Bennett (15.12), Jordan Shipley(20.01), Jabar Gaffney (24.01)TE: Tony Gonzalez (8.01), Dustin Keller (9.12), Jermaine Gresham (12.01)PK: Neil Rackers (19.12), Matt Prater (22.01)TD: New Orleans Saints (14.01), Atlanta Falcons (18.01), Jacksonville Jaguars (21.12)Was a fun draft. I'll post thoughts on this bunch later on.-QG
You won according to the DD.
LOL, well there are practical reasons why the DD would like my draft so much.Anyway, here's my expanded thoughts on the draft. I've done this 4 times now and I think my draft position has been 12th, 7th, 11th, and 12th. It's tough against this level of competition to be on the back-end, especially as historically I'm a big RB guy. That never seems to happen in these drafts though and this is no exception.QB: Philip Rivers (3.12), Kevin Kolb (10.01), Matt Hasselbeck (17.02)I spent the first round praying for somehow, someway that Michael Vick would fall to me at 12. I had at least a little reason to hope as he's been selected (in no particular order) 13th, 13th, 11th, 4th, and 18th in the 5 drafts previous to this one. With the double flex and heavy PPR scoring I thought I had a shot, but alas it wasn't to be.Anyhow, while I thought about holding off on QB until round 5, I had a funny feeling if I did that I'd hold off again until round 7 and get myself into some trouble. I like Rivers a lot and had no problem taking him here as the 4th QB selected. If he got snagged ahead of me, I likely would've gone Brady. I felt that would allow me to sit a little longer on my backup. I nearly took Schaub at 8.01 but opted for a TE instead and he went to Dowling with the next pick - I may have outsmarted myself there. Kolb at 10.01 is a fine consolation prize as I like his early schedule and he certainly has weapons to work with. I think he's good value as the 16th QB off the board. There were 3 starting QBs left on the board when I tabbed Hasselbeck (Hasselbeck, Beck, and Dalton) and I thought he was the surest shot of those. Even with 2 good QBs I felt better having a 3rd shot in this category.RB: Rashard Mendenhall (2.01), Fred Jackson (6.01), Tim Hightower (7.12), LaRod Stephens-Howling (16.01), Earnest Graham (23.12)Easily and far and away my weakest position. I hope the fact that there are so many flex spots helps mask this deficiency. 7 RBs were gone by the time I was up. The board said Forte but he's burned me in the fast and I don't love what the Bears did this offseason. Could be a mistake. Mendenhall is solid and even though he's a Steeler at least he went to a good school (Illinois). I did not want to go without an RB at this spot and the fact that there were 16 of 'em off the board by the time my next pick came up backed up this line of reasoning. Fred Jackson was the 26th RB taken and at least he's the starter (hopefully - I still can't see them starting Spiller). I opted to go Harvin instead of an RB - that very well may have been a misstep. By the time it came to Hightower, 30 other backs were already gone and it was last call. The Redskins are bad, but at least he's starting and he's a good receiver out of the backfield. He's one of only 2 players I have with a week 5 bye. Norwood pipped me out of Addai here (as he had pipped me out of a Benson a few rounds earlier). Dowling got a hold of McGahee one pick before I was going to take him in round 13 so I kept waiting. I also stupidly completely forgot the existence of Ben Tate. So I addressed other areas and finally took Stephens-Howling as the 53rd back off the board and hate the pick. Hated it more when Quizz Rodgers was drafted that same round - by rights he should be on my team of all teams. Got Graham as the 71st back off the board at the end of round 23. He has a chance to be the 3rd-down back and he has had a nose for the end zone in the past. All-in-all I feel like I missed a lot of opportunities here.WR: Roddy White (1.12), Percy Harvin (4.01), Marques Colston (5.12), Denarius Moore (11.12), Arrelious Benn (13.12), Earl Bennett (15.12), Jordan Shipley(20.01), Jabar Gaffney (24.01)I feel better about this bunch. White is a top-grade guy, though I thought about Fitzgerald and VJax too. I picked Harvin last year too and hope I don't regret this but he's solid as a #2. I think Colston is great value as the 23rd WR off the board considering how great that pass offense is and that he's their #1 receiver. One of my better picks. Um, stuff I read said Denarius Moore has looked good. Easily the guy I know least about among all my draft picks. :bag: Benn gives me a 2nd Illini player, one coming off an ACL injury...great... :bag: but still the talent is there and if he's back he'll be in the starting lineup. Earl Bennett is another pig in a poke. What the hell was I doing? So I retreated to what I know and grabbed Shipley as the 77th receiver off the board. He was great a rookie last year and is a possession guy that could be useful in this PPR format. Dalton is a minus at this time as is the number of weapons they have (I suspect Caldwell will be taking Shipley's place on some downs) but based on last year I'm hopeful. Gaffney is a starting WR in Washington. They will be behind a lot and have to throw. For the 85th WR off the board I figure you can do worse. I also considered Nate Washington here.TE: Tony Gonzalez (8.01), Dustin Keller (9.12), Jermaine Gresham (12.01)This pretty much was the plan. Tight end is a lot deeper position than it used to be. Gonzalez is up there in age but he's fine as the 11th TE off the board in round 8. Was very happy to get Keller when the draft came back to me as I really think the Jets are going to use him a bit more. He's solid as the 16th one off the board. Cook went the pick before but I think I would've gone Keller anyway. That Gresham with all his talent went off 22nd (just after Heath Miller in 21st) shows you just how much talent is at this position now. He had over 50 catches last year and while he's not been 100% in camp I have to figure that he'll see a lot of targets with a young QB like Dalton in there. I'm hoping I get 1 flex per week out of this bunch.PK: Neil Rackers (19.12), Matt Prater (22.01)Perhaps I should've taken 3 instead of 2 and really hedged my bets. Kickers are kickers, though, and both of these guys have strong legs. Rackers was the 6th kicker off the board at his spot. The 1st kicker went 5 rounds earlier. I just don't think there's that big a gap between any 2 kickers in the top half. A bit more nervous about taking a kicker from a truly bad team like Prater but Denver's early schedule seems pretty conducive to him getting some opportunities.TD: New Orleans Saints (14.01), Atlanta Falcons (18.01), Jacksonville Jaguars (21.12)Usually I'm the nut who grabs the first defense way early and I tried not to do that this time. Given the boom or bust nature of this position, I opted to fully diversify with 3 teams. I like the matchups NO has in weeks 2 (Chic), 4 (Jax) and 5 (Carolina). They were the 5th defense of the board. Atlanta has matchups I like in weeks 1 (Chic), 3 (TB), and 4 (Seattle). They were 14th off the board (I will cop that it broke my heart when Dodds took Detroit who I think have a chance to do well in this format especially with some of their early matchups). The pickings got slim really late but I felt Jacksonville was the best of a bad bunch - they were 27th off the board out of 29 total defenses picked. Their better matchups are in weeks 1 (Ten), 3 (Carolina), and 5 (Cincy). I'm hoping that between the 3, I'll get decent output each week.So there ya go. I hope I'm competitive. I'm just not sure if I'm going to be better than mediocre each week and fall short because of a lack of big time scoring weeks. It'll be fun to find out :) -QG

Thanks for the comments/critque. Here are my thoughts why I went the way I did instead of the routes you suggested.RB: Bradshaw catches WAS, STL, PHI, ARI, SEA. Like you said, probably 2-3 huge games. Wells draws CAR, WAS, SEA, NYG, MIN. Note, no BAL, NE, NYJ, or MIA on that list. Vareen and Starks have 4 potential blowouts on the schedule along with some high scoring games. Hoping for garbage time stats here.

WR: I purpose avoided swinging for pop (outside of Douglas). With 8 positional starters I didn't want to miss on one of the 5-6 WRs in either Pitt or STL and start taking donuts. Decker/Royal should be good for one decent score most weeks. Hill should be a WR2. Douglas catches Chi, Phi, and GB which could be high scoring affairs. The goal is to advance by being in the top 4, not winning this leg.

TE: Don't have that much faith, just botched the draft badly here.

My other thought from having done these drafts before is that injuries will cripple a couple of teams and a couple more will not catch on to the rules. This is why I have consistantly targeted the oddball drafts like QB flex, 2x flex, strange ppr rules, auction, survivor format. With everyone here having access to the same thoughts, projections, etc, the last avenue available to attempt to gain an advantage is targeting the tricked out formats. Conservative drafting offers the best chance to get past leg 1.

Last thought is that I do rely heavily on the DD. It's a great tool and these guys put a lot of work into the the data. Historically (while not perfect), it's done a good job of picking out the teams most likely to advance sans injuries. If I don't have a strong thought on a player I'll defer to the expexts thoughts. This tool also offers some great features like being able to weight weeks which have proven invaluable.

For those doing any survivor drafts, mess around with adjusting the weights based on bye weeks and number of teams being eliminated. Bolding facing Revis in a 1 team elimination week has much less impact than facing him in a two team elimaination week. You can also adjust the weights based on the the number of teams left allowing for more risk earlier in the competition and less risk later.

Would be curious to see what MoP thought of my bunch.

No you wouldn't...j/kA couple things. First of all I'm flattered that folks want me to stamp their team as "exploit or avoid". Next is I learn a lot by watching what folks do. I usually pick out teams that I really like or that I really detest or when an owner is having a great draft and then suddenly for no reason hits the self destruct or panic button...those types are what usually draws me in. This league seems to have an awful lot of meh to me but partly that has to do with the sheer number of starters you need to find.

QB: Philip Rivers (3.12), Kevin Kolb (10.01), Matt Hasselbeck (17.02)

Rivers and anything is going to be pretty good

RB: Rashard Mendenhall (2.01), Fred Jackson (6.01), Tim Hightower (7.12), LaRod Stephens-Howling (16.01), Earnest Graham (23.12)

Nothing dominant. I think this will be hit and miss but you should find 2 starters a week form here. I don't think you will crash the boards on the flex spots all that often with this.

WR: Roddy White (1.12), Percy Harvin (4.01), Marques Colston (5.12), Denarius Moore (11.12), Arrelious Benn (13.12), Earl Bennett (15.12), Jordan Shipley(20.01), Jabar Gaffney (24.01)

Like White but not a big fan of Harvin and also Colston is starting to scare me with his knees although I know he is out there playing right now. Moore is a rookie, Benn still feeling his way back, Bennett in the 15th is decent value, Shipley and Gaffney I like late where you snagged them

TE: Tony Gonzalez (8.01), Dustin Keller (9.12), Jermaine Gresham (12.01)

Better than some but I see Gonzo sliding perhaps out of the top10 this year as do a lot of FF owners, Keller has a limited ceiling, Gresham a lousy situation right now...this looks better than it really is IMO.

PK: Neil Rackers (19.12), Matt Prater (22.01)

TD: New Orleans Saints (14.01), Atlanta Falcons (18.01), Jacksonville Jaguars (21.12)

Can you advance? Yes but like a lot of the teams, you are going to need some luck along the way. Now if FJax and Hightower are early season surprises and outplay their draft slots by 3-4+ rounds then you might have something. Harvin and Colston will also need to perform at a pretty high level . If this is top4 advance, I can see you having a couple 9-2 or 8-3 type weeks and be in the hunt in week5 which is all you can ask for.

Thanks for the thoughts MoP :) You may be a victim of your own success with all these requests. Gresham was colored by the early schedule for the Bengals. Keller is more based on what I'm picking up from living in the area. I hope you're right - having a chance going into week 5 would be nifty.

I printed out a VBD spreadsheet and consulted with Zartan via IM. I had no idea that Lance Kendricks was even a real person until today. I think I have spent about 10 minutes total "prepping" for FF this year. I'm in this contest because I goofed on Capella. My strategy was basically to take a lot of RB and WR. VBD-wise, TE's seem to have been overvalued. Best part of this draft was the fairly low Shark Pool nerd quotient.

Kind of agree with MOP on Dodds, keep in mind I really don't know anything this year. Ringer and Jennings are really good swing-for-the-fences picks, but if things don't break right to get one of them PT, you're forcing a good portion of your WR corps into your starting lineup each week, regardless of how well they do. I think BnB said that if Johnson doesn't show up, you walk into Round 2, but if he does, this seems to be a serious issue. Does going WR-WR-WR jibe with VBD? Or is this a matter of just getting bored and trying to reinvent the wheel? Am I passe' for valuing RBs? Am I missing something here?

QB: I like Orton's beard.

RB: Lots of people, including Foster. Tried to get other people's backups who had upside, don't think many people handcuffed their own dudes.

WR: Not even sure which Steve Smith this is, might be the guy that used to play D-man for the Edmonton Oilers.

TE: Pettigrew? Sure.

DEF: Who cares.

K: Who cares.

MOP> I go to lunch at the salard bar almost every day at Whole Foods. Which items do you think provide the best value in terms of nutrition/$? I usually go with a bed of spinach, some chicken, a little cheese, cranberries, cucumbers, carrots, edamame, tomato and corn with balsamic dressing. Might throw a samosa on top as a treat. Those samosas are delicious.

Bed of Spinach...good choice, lots of iron

Chix...anything that's not tuna is A-OK with me on the salad.

Cucumbers and Carrots...I like the upside and you can always find cucumbers late in the pick

Tomato...a poor man's Washington Apple, love the lycopene points

All and all that's a solid line up, I say exploit!

I used mostly MFL default draft list because for most of the draft I was trying to put my daughter to bed while drafting at on my cell phone. That said, I clearly killed it.

You're a little weak at Defense and Kicker imo

I'm not showing well in the projection because I'm (admittedly) leaning on Lynch, Ingram, and Blount at RB and Cook at TE to produce. I think those players will perform well and I'll be top-4 with plenty of room to spare. But I understand how an August evaluation would have me closer to the middle of the pack.

So they're not projected highly now, but they will be later? Where's this extra hotness coming from?

Dodds and co. unveil the real rankings next Monday after the drafts are over. They also modify "Joe's Secret Formula" to avoid the players that will suck. You'll see all the staff teams project at the top by next Tuesday.

Would love to hear your defination of "plenty of room to spare"?

Agreed. Dowling, I'd also be up for a bet on whether your team qualifies. Even money?

I think my quarterback depth is best in the league

I think my running back depth is among the best in the league.

I think my receivers are my weak link after vj but I have enough of them that I'll take my chances on good luck for five weeks where i get the production I need.

My tight ends - cook, primarily - are my big gamble but I think cook is going to score well.

Forgot about this feature on MFL:

Coach QuizGuy66 had a awful draft in the recent 2011 2011 FBG Survivor - Round 1 - League 6 draft. Their QuizGuy66 franchise came away with the number 9 ranked draft (out of 12) in the league based on analysis by MyFantasyLeague.com.

QuizGuy66 made their best pick of the draft in round 3, selecting Philip Rivers with the 36th pick of the draft, as compared to the 28th spot he should have been selected in, according to ADP rankings. "He's a blue-chip prospect," QuizGuy66 coach QuizGuy66 said.

QuizGuy66 made their worst pick of the draft in round 4, selecting Percy Harvin with the 37th pick of the draft, as compared to the 57th spot he should have been selected in, according to ADP rankings. "He's a project," QuizGuy66 coach QuizGuy66 said.

Starting in week 6, QuizGuy66 won't be able to submit a full lineup, due to having 3 quarterbacks on bye.

QuizGuy66 nabbed Roddy White in the 1st round, which reflects the fact that he was the number one ranked wide receiver for the 2010 season, based on this league's custom scoring rules.

With a little bit of work on the waiver wire this season, or a few strategic trades, coach QuizGuy66 should be able to turn their 9th ranked draft effort into a championship fantasy team this year.

I didn't say it...

Coach Limp Ditka had a poor draft in the recent 2011 2011 FBG Survivor - Round 1 - League 6 draft. Their Limp Ditka franchise came away feeling dejected about their bottom grade in the league based on analysis by MyFantasyLeague.com.

Limp Ditka made their best pick of the draft in round 8, selecting Josh Freeman with the 91st pick of the draft, as compared to the 71st spot he should have been selected in, according to ADP rankings. "He's a blue-chip prospect," Limp Ditka coach Limp Ditka said.

Limp Ditka made their worst pick of the draft in round 6, selecting Lance Moore with the 67th pick of the draft, as compared to the 109th spot he should have been selected in, according to ADP rankings. "He's a project," Limp Ditka coach Limp Ditka said.

Limp Ditka nabbed Sebastian Janikowski in the 19th round, which reflects the fact that he was the number one ranked place kicker for the 2010 season, based on this league's custom scoring rules.

After such a pathetic draft grade, coach Limp Ditka is motivated to prove to the league that their picks will overachieve and bring home the trophy.

David Dodds has the dubious distinction of making the worst pick of the entire draft, selecting Santonio Holmes in round 3 with the 31st pick of the draft, long before the 55th spot he should have been selected in, according to ADP rankings. "His attitude is a question mark," David Dodds coach David Dodds said.
