How the #### does Nebraska keep getting locked out of the BOB?
My guess is Nebraska's ties with Omaha Steaks. Beef O'Brady's doesn't deal with high-fallutin' meats like prime and choice cuts from Nebraska. Beefs is the beef of the people.

I just went through and graded out all the bowl teams and assigned a side to each game, I have this one as the third most lopsided game. I have ECU as a 14 point favorite.

All you need to know is Justin Hardy.
He is a junior isn't he? Is there any word on if he is going to enter the draft? He is really good.
He's a junior. This year would be a good year for him to jump to the NFL. He's had a great year and I doubt he has a better one if he stays. With that being said I haven't heard anything.

"So, ummm.... do the Pirates and Bobcats have good-looking coeds?"
ECU has never been short on good-looking women. simey is an ECU alumni, and she is easy on the eyes.

I would think he would be ranked high in the WR class if he enters.

I think it will be closer than people think and Ohio will cover. It all depends on if Tettleton decides he wants to try again.

33 out of 35! Not bad....

33. Beef 'O' Brady's St. Petersburg Bowl (Dec. 23, St. Petersburg, Fla.) - East Carolina (9-3) vs. Ohio (7-5): East Carolina reeled off victories over in-state rivals North Carolina and NC State this year, but ended its year with a disappointing 59-28 loss to Marshall with the Conference USA East division on the line. Ohio was blown out by several of the top teams in the MAC, but early season wins over Marshall and North Texas helped them limp toward bowl eligibility.

Ohio > Marshall > ECU

Take the points ;)

I think Tom Fornelli must have read this thread:

No. 23 Beef O'Brady's Bowl -- 12/23, 2 p.m.East Carolina 9-3 vs. Ohio 7-5

Monday afternoon football? That's all right with me! Sure, it's played indoors in a baseball stadium that barely even passes as a baseball stadium, but aside from what is actually an interesting matchup, you'll get to see repeated Beef O'Brady's commercials. And if you live outside the BEEF'S footprint, well, they're quite interesting. SEE YOU AT BEEF'S!

Wait, which Bowls are worse??
34. GoDaddy Bowl (Jan. 5, Mobile, Ala.) - Arkansas State (7-5) vs. Ball State (10-2): BSU averaged 40.1 points per game and stormed through the MAC before falling to Jordan Lynch and Northern Illinois on Nov. 13. The Keith Wenning to Willie Snead connection hooked up 97 times for 1,429 yards and 14 touchdowns. Arkansas State won four of its last five games to reach seven wins and finish second in the Sun Belt.

35. R+L Carriers New Orleans (Dec. 21, New Orleans) - Tulane (7-5) vs. Louisiana-Lafayette (8-4): The Tulane program was hit hard by Hurricane Katrina, so its a nice accomplishment for the Green Wave to reach its first bowl game since 2002. Theyll face off with in-state opponent Louisiana-Layafette, whose season began and ended with back-to-back losses and an eight game win streak in between.

That's from Yahoo. CBS has the Beef at 23.

In 1985, Jim Mellody dreamed up the idea of a neighborhood pub where friends and families could gather to enjoy good food and sports in a fun, comfortable atmosphere. Together, with his wife Jeanette, they embellished the Brady family name and created the now-famous Beef 'O' Brady’s®. Their first restaurant opened in Brandon, Florida. The regulars quickly nicknamed it "Beef ’s®."

Inspired by a love of sports, Jim filled his restaurant with TVs and satellite dishes so patrons could enjoy watching a vast array of sporting events. He also covered the walls with authentic sports memorabilia he had collected through the years. As a final touch, he made sure a traditional Irish Blessing graced every menu, bidding good fortune and happy times to all who visited.

As the Beef's® story grew, so too did the menu. It was important to Jim that guests have variety (like the award-winning wings available in 12 signature sauces) as well as signature favorites with an Irish twist.

Today, Beef 'O' Brady’s® is one of the fastest growing restaurants in the country. Some call it the "Luck of the Irish." Jim would call it a darn good dream that took a lot of hard work.

I can only assume this original 'dream' came to him passed out in a Bennigan's?

Don't know who the opponent is. Pirates should be at least a 14 point favorite.
I just went through and graded out all the bowl teams and assigned a side to each game, I have this one as the third most lopsided game. I have ECU as a 14 point favorite.
Line opened at 12 on Monday, already to 13.5.
I think it'll come down to who eats more beefs the night before the game.

That team will lose.

I'm just excited for the unveiling of the new Beef's commercials that I won't see again until the 2015 B'O'B Bowl.

Ask Frito-Lay

Bruce: When is the Tostitos Fiesta Bowl this season?

** Thank you for contacting us. We'll be with you shortly.

** Thank you for waiting. We're still assisting other consumers. You are number 1 in line.

Nacele has joined the chat session.

Nacele: Hi Bruce! Just one moment and I'll check on that for you.

Nacele: It looks like it will be Jan. 1st. at 6:30 P.M. Do you have a favorite team you hope to see playing in that bowl?

Bruce: Thanks! You have been very helpful!

:lmao: some day I'll own my own restaurant. It will be just like Bennigan's, except more TVs and the food will suck! After considering road tripping 200 miles to my nearest Beef's for the game, it turns out my local Twin Peaks will be in the midst of "Santa's Little Helpers" week. I'm not made of stone. I think I'm gonna rent a Santa suit and invite the little helpers to sit on my lap and tell me what they want for Christmas.

I just sat through ESPNU's 1-hour preview of non-BCS bowl games. Not a single mention of The Beef.

They even previewed the crappy Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl, just because Michigan is in it.

On our Pirates at -13.

DD> we going to this? It's too expensive to fly to Houston and see my Gophs
Flying to Tampa cheaper than flying to Houston?
Haven't checked yet. So yes/no?
Game is on the e23rd. No way Beef O'Brady and I are gonna be responsible for you missing Christmas 2013, especially after the hotel "injuns" incident. I'll be lucky to even be allowed back into Wisconsin after that.

Plus flights are ridiculous. All the morons that live here are going to Florida on the 20-23 because it's neat, and makes them cool to their neighbors. They aren't even going to the Beef! ####### losers.

Does anyone know if ESPN will be covering the Beef Parade beforehand? If not, are there any sites where I could stream it?
:lmao: this would be a phenomenal question for their twitter feed. "Ohhhhhhh and there's the giant prime rib sandwich float Tom. Did you know that Beef's makes their prime rib sandwich with 100% USDA meat and makes their own jus in house.....never packaged. Next up.....the chicken tender float! And look, that's a little barbecue sauce on the side. That's so cute! The attention to detail here is stunning!"

I always get a little tear in my eye when I see the giant hot dog float turn down US 19 with a bunch of USF co-eds riding on top of it.
