****OFFICIAL**** Veronica Mars Thread (1 Viewer)

Whoa there's a Veronica Mars thread? This is a great show. I have a few geusses on who blew up the bus, but I'm expecting to be way off.

Did anyone figure out who the killer was in season 1 before the finale? I wasn't even close.

I didn't try. I like to be surprised.

It's nice to see no spoilers posted in the thread. Whatever happens tonight I hope Kendall sticks around for next season.

She's been a good (and hot) character for sure, but not sure how much long-term potential she has. Other wishes:o I don't ever want to see Duncan again

o Keep Mac around

o Wallace is in danger of becoming boring, develop him or drop him

I agree with these points. Especially about Duncan and Mac.

Agreed. Duncan's a dud.Mac has potential.

Wallace needs to do...something.

It'll be back.  And as long as Veronica, Logan and Weevil are all there, it'll be hot.  The rest of the cast can come and go, but those three MAKE the show.

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Don't forget Enrico Colantoni. He good.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
He's good, but not vital. Those three are VITAL.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I'd argue that he's more vital than Weevil.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I think it is close and I'd see both sides of this argument.

I was down to two people this season and they picked the one I hoped they wouldn't pick. I was actually hoping it would be the last red herring.

I'll never understand why you set yourself up for disappointment like this.

Why do I try to figure out Whodunnit in a mystery show? I don't know. Just crazy I guess.
<{POST_SNAPBACK}>
I'd much rather just watch it and find out. Contrast:Scoobygang: "I hope it's not xxxxx."

Veronica: "It was xxxxx!"

Scoobygang: "Damn."

Smoo: "I don't know who it was."

Veronica: "It was xxxxx!"

Smoo: "Holy ####!"

 I gotta tell ya, I like my way better.

It's tough to watch 20+ episodes of a mystery and not automatically create your own list of suspects.

I managed it just fine. It didn't even take any effort.Wait, I did have a list of suspects. It was "everybody except Veronica, Keith and Woody", because those were the only three I was sure didn't do it.

"C.W.?"

"It's a done deal"

From USA Today:

ON CW, YEAR 1

Veronica Mars, One Tree Hill, Supernatural and Girlfriends will join the new CW network replacing UPN and WB this fall, but Reba and Everwood are gone. Top-rated 7th Heaven has been revived for an 11th season, despite last week's "series finale."

Agreed. I hate when people try to figure out what's going to happen like it's a friggin contest or something. Whether it's a movie or TV show, I just kick back and enjoy the ride.

Heard a rumour they might cut back to 13 episodes, though. That would suck.

I'm not sure of the number but I believe (and I'm not 100% sure of this so somebody can correct me if they know) they're going to do the season in three blocks of "mysteries," one of which will center around the Hearst College rapist that Veronica dealt with this season.

Well, this says otherwise: Link
Bubble shows "Veronica Mars" and "One Tree Hill" also made the cut, with full 22-episode orders.

HOT.And I like the "three mysteries" idea, too. It's going to be hard to keep coming up with huge mysteries that have the legs for a full season, but three smaller ones of 7-ish episodes each works for me.

Damn, this show is so good even Steve Guttenberg is good in it.

The tone of season two has gotten much darker than season one. Maybe that turned viewers off.

I've somehow always avoided this show but I'm finally going to give it a chance this weekend.

After watching the first season I recommend watching if you haven't seen it. I was turned off by the comparisons to Buffy, which I didn't like, but it was more of a non-noir version of the movie Brick.

Halfway through season 2 and it's a disappointment compared to the first season. It's still a fun show to watch but season one set a very high bar.

I'm curious how you end up feeling about season 2 once you finish it. For me, I thought it was the better of the seasons although as I was watching it at the time it didn't feel as cohesive. Still, season 1 is awesome too and it's very close--it's season 3 that you might not want to bother with.

Bump. Anyone seen the movie? It's getting a 76% or so on Rotten Tomatoes, got a lukewarm review or two in other places I visit on the web, but is it worth shelling out the seven bucks or so and hour and a half of time on amazon? I'll bite the bullet and review it if need be, but I'm deciding between this and American Hustle for Sunday viewing when the basketball is over.

eta* Decided to give the movie a watch. Nice job. If you're a fan, it's definitely worth the time. A little predictable, a little Logan-ish. As always, **** steals the show with his complete bro-ness. It's updated, graduated, all that jazz. A kickstarter worth the effort. I hope there's more to come.
