*Official Vikings vs Jets MNF Thread* (1 Viewer)

Oh, heck no, he's not raining on my parade... I think he was raining on yours! I'm a pretty happy Vikings fan. That last quarter and a half was a helluva lot of fun! If that keeps up, I'll take the interceptions, no question.

Would have loved to hear Jaws say: "Favre really showed his #### out there" on the interception.

I have watched Favre for years. The last two he has lost his arm. Sure he can still throw 50 to 60 yards, but now it is a rainbow and takes his whole body rather than his arm and wrist. His motion is noticeably different. Given the bicep injury and the different motion I believe he now does have real elbow problems.

Next week the Vikings or the Cowboys, one, will necesssarily lose. The loser will be 1-4 and on a two week losing streak after their bye. I wouldn't want to be on that team. It will be a long week for those that survive.

As for the Vikings they will get to right their ship in two weeks. Yes they are sucking it now, but the Packers have so many injuries only a miracle will win that game for them. After a win the Vikes will be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel, so long as Favre's arm holds up.

Tough loss, but the Vikes are not dead yet. The Dallas game will be fascinating.

watching the post game conference, and when ever people try to ask brett about some of the off the field stuff he ignores the questions and talks about the football game.

:goodposting: Agreed. I look at the Vikings record and as easily as it is 1-3, it could be 3-1 very simply. But the last quarter and a half is something I have not seen since last season, if Favre can stay healthy I think we shall be fine from an offensive standpoint. Defensively however, I think we will miss Griffin.

Its odd too...because he goes from looking awful, to looking great, to looking bad again all within a matter of minutes. Is it the elbow? Is it age? It reminds me of the end of "For the Love of the Game". He can still wing it 50-60 yards, but I just imagine him like Costner throwing that last curveball...just telling himself in his head that "this is going to hurt a little bit". But he knows no other way. There is no dialing it back, its go all out and feel the pain later.I don't know. They finally did get clicking there for a bit though and looked scary to defend.

The first 2+ quarters of the game :X :X :X

End of 3rd up to the last two minutes :excited: :excited:

last 2 minutes :bag:

Our Defense did everything they could to keep us in this game. Two fumbles by Favre early on easily could have made it a route if not for the D.

If what the offense displayed from the 3rd quarter on vs. one of the best Defenses on their home turf is what we can expect the rest of the season.. well then  :excited:

That sack on the second-to-last play after the Jets TAINT gave my opponent (Jets D and Nick Folk) the win by 0.2 points. 10 points in the last minute and a half . . . ouch.

Brings me to my next question...when it got down to about 30 seconds...and especially the last second play.

Why even drop back to pass there?

The game is over...take a knee.

You already have your QB dealing with a bad elbow...lets have him wing it 50 yards downfield again.

Wat

What a typical Farve ending though..throwing a huge boneheaded INT to seal it for the Jets..then the camera zooming in on him while he is holding his face with that look we have all come to know so well like "WTH did I just do"

Agreed... Vikings look to be one of the better teams IMO in spite of their record.... Personally I enjoyed the 1 year of Favre as a Jets fan - When he's on, he throws passes that cannot be defended.Weather played a factor - Also I never like playing a good team coming off a bye. It was odd the Vikes couldn't come out hotter than they did.Jets D will never fully reach it's potential till they can get a legit pass rusher without having to sell out....Revis still injured - possibly out a few weeks now with the bye coming after Denver.Amazing Sanchez has no picks yet - I think this staff is enamored with what Holmes can do and his miracle catches - Rain be damned they were going to try to get it to him.
