BUT you have to get the 20 in a round AFTER getting 1000 kills. I'm guessing he hasn't had more than 20 kills in the tank since hitting 1000.

And inorder to rank up at 25thou points, you need this tank badge? If so, I will only be in a tank the new few times I play. I don't think I have 500 kills in a tank.

No you only need bandit tank to rank up, I am going for Warhawk tank, and no I probably haven't gotten 20 tank kills in a round after I hit 1000 tank kills, I had over 20 tank kills in a round several times but it was before I reached 1000. I will try to get 20 IAR tonight.derek19 said:

Played my best game last night. I had somehwere between 30-40 kills in a warhawk. Achieved the Warhak excellence medal, I believe thats what it is called. I think I had maybe 8 deaths or so. I was able to get away from 3 or 4 locks using the techniques that guy used on youtube. It really does work.

I might have to fool around with that pro-flight technique.
Then again, I'm still pretty down after hearing that one my most favorite Saints EVER decided to hang up his cleats for good. So I just may make today "Steve Gleason Day" and fly a few kamikaze missions into the enemy's base.

He was the special teams assassin -- the guy that blocked the punt against Atlanta in the first game back in the Superdome, which many believe (including me) is the greatest play in Saints history.Unless you've watched every single Saints game, you will never have heard of him. I'll be on most of the weekend--wife & kids going out of town!!
Couple days ago I got very lucky and shot down 2 Warhawks with 1 shot of my RPG. I aimed at Breesus and got him but some dork was hovering over Breesus and the explosion from Breesus' plane took out the other one.
Breesus is pretty darn good in a plane.

Jumped into a game with LoanX late last night. I wish another FBG would have been on. When I jumped into the game it was one clan vs everyone else. They weren't very good at all. Would have been nice to whoop up on them. I was able able to shoot down a couple but then there would be two or three more coming after me..

LoanX.. When we played that zone on Destroyed city. I was in the middle trying to kill someone with a rpg and you just happened to move right when he flew behind you, when you were up at the 'secret weapons stash'. Your name popped up and I sent a rpg right at you. After that you moved away and I thought to myself, he's going to try and air-strike us. Pulled out the sniper and seen your head pop up and BANG!! No more loanX

I was up there reeking havoc, I must have popped off 30+ rockets from there, I always take mines up there with me and you really have to tow or binoc me or something to get me off there. If you try to land I got it wired with mines, on both sides. I thought for one sec and said to myself, he may not have a sniper rifle and I will get off the air strike before he lines it up anyway.I look over and you sniped me, I did say damn nice shot.LoanX.. The pretty reliable info is that it will be out April 17th? Maybe 20th is what I have seen. Of course I will get it. Its 8 bucks and I have a job. I have never played "small" maps until we tried to practice for the tourney, also I never played on white servers. I have been trying it the last couple of weeks and I have to say the amount of bull#### that goes on in the player ranked servers is high.

Very frustrating day today with the PS3
Since Christmas, it's been hooked up wireless and no problems at all. Today, every game I join I get "Server Disconnected" errors. I know it's about to happen because I can't pick up weapons or get into planes or vehicles.
Nothing has changed on my configuration and I even bought a new router cable modem today and no luck.
I've tried to bypass the router and go with a wired connection and no luck there either.
Has this happened to any of you before?

I just finished playing and I was having server issues as well. For the first time I had "waiting for server' before I was able to enter a game. Who knows.

Sorry for my typo--I bought a new modem.
Prior to today, the list of servers would load very quickly after logging into Warhawk and hitting join game. All day today however, they load in increments of 60 or so until it gets to about 350. Sometimes I can join a game--other times it won't let me join.
If I by chance am lucky enough to get in a game--either ranked or unranked, I get to play for 5 minutes max. I can tow missle people and everything--they don't die. I cannot hop into a plane or tank/jeep and then I get "Server Disconnected"

The only thing I can think of is that sometimes routers and modems get out of synch. If you put a new modem in and didn't reset the router they may be misaligned. This used to happen to me whenever I would get a power surge. I would try unplugging your router and modem, leave them unplugged for about 30 seconds or whatever. Plug you modem back in FIRST. Then when the lights start going down the front of it plug your router back in. The router will have to reaquire the modem settings and it will line them up better and it may solve your problems.

Played after I finished dinner without and issues as well. I haven't played on any horrible teams as of late but last night, every time was horrible. People grabbing planes and getting shot down. Grab another plane and get shot down. I jumped in one plane with this one dude and he intentionally killed himself so he would kill me as well. WTF??Plus, playing on a non-hdtv really sucks.

I just made Master Sergeant, that means I only have two ranks until I am not allowed to play on Level 2 servers. I have made a decision to only play on Lvl 2 until I get kicked up a level. I need to get my flying under control and I don't think getting shot down repeatedly on a lvl3 or 4 server is the way to go.
I have been using pro mode for about 10 days I gotta say pro mode is way better. I am able to shake off missiles left and right. I and actually able to be a real good pilot on lvl 2.
My problem is when I get into a close quarters dogfight I lose it. The reason is, in order to shake off the missiles in pro you have to use that trick from the video and it really works good, but close up when I have to missile shake two or thress times in a row I always lose my bearings. I could be upside down flying towards the ground or flying over a enemy base and just making my situation worse. I lose track of where the enemy plane is and he gets me.
What I am getting real good at is standing off, at a distance I can shake all missiles, then I see a target I boost on his and homer/lightning his ### and gun him dead.
It's weird though, playing on the lvl2 servers where my rank is, there are so many ground troops it is hard to make headway on the ground, I have been really scoring much higher than I usually do in a warhawk.

I too have been trying to spend some more time in the air. I'm getting to where I can hold my own pretty good on the ground and had 38 kills yesterday in a game (my best ever)
I've also switched to pro flight and like LoanX, I lose my bearings on occasion and seemed to get chased more than me chasing someone else.
Getting better though...Now if I can just get those 5 machine gun kills while in a Warhawk.

Yeah I know it...One night last week I went into this one player ranked server and there was a whole cluster of people around the flag not killing anyone. I went to the bathroom and came back and had about 20K points or some crap..the game ended.Did some searching and found out about the stat-padding stuff that people do--had no clue that was even an option. Thinking about trying to see if they can reset me back down to the 18-20K I should actually have but not sure if that will do any good or how to go about it.If I get busted-oh well. I'll start over (already have another account started anyway without the stat mishap)

How does that happen? I know about tossing the flag back and forth, I know you can self toss on certain maps, trading zones, and unlimited flag caps taking turns. But I am wondering how you get that just standing there?Nevermind I just thought of a way.Group from one team, stands around the flag, dude from other team grabs(2points) drops it and it respawns and everyone standing there gets the(2points for the recap)I really don't understand the padding to be honest. I can't play level 1, on Level 2 I am pretty dominate, level three it goes either way, on a level 4 server I get beat down often. What is the point to forcing yourself to a higher server where your skills are not good enough to play?

Oh and last night I finally got my outstanding transportation ribbon. It was a ##### to run over 10 guys in a round.
So I was feeling it, there are only two ribbons I havent gotten combined arms and meritoruious
So I go for combined arms 10air, 10 vehicle 10 troop.
I get the 10 air, then I get the 10 vehicle its badlands and I am running out of time and only have like 3 troop kills.
I get a warhawk and three binocs with like a minute and a half left. Fly and put myself on the mountain top over the enemy base. Airstrike three kills up to 6, do it again three more kills, So I have 10 air kills 10vehicle kills, and nine troop kills, I have one binoc left and it is reloaded with 16 seconds left, I have the green laser going at the enemy flag for the third time and there are like 4 guys in the blast radius and I got sniped!

Once I get my last two ribbons I am going to try to fill out my badges.

Oh and Deric that was pretty sweet us owning that CTF round.
The Dropship is underused.
That move we did is really a three man operation though.
Guy in the dropship, dropship pilot and a guy in the tank underneath.
It is really the best ot have a guy in the tank when you drop it near the flag to keep enemies from climbing in your tank when you are getting the flag.
Oh and here is a tip, to avoid getting the vehicle shot out from under you, drag it close to the ground through the vehicle repairs, it will heal.

All they are worried about is their rank. Not if they have the skills to play on a lvl 4 server. Plus, if they are cheating they probably don't play on the SCEA servers anyway. They will just play on the player ranked servers and beat up on noobs.
