Can someone please tell Neil Cotts that the season is going on. JD has to be considered for MVP but let's just get to the playoffs! This season is coming down to that Minny series last weekend. Ohhhh boy strap on the seat belts! Detroit is feeling the heat. Hang on Sox, Tiger and Twin fans! Here we go into the vortex!

I'm sure U.S Celluar looked good at the time compared to junky stadiums like the Vet, and other football/baseball stadiums, but now it already seems outdated and Chicago won't be getting a new stadium anytime soon which is unfortunate for Sox fans because they really impressed me with their enthuasisam during the game.
No, the Cell looked terrible before they made all of the renevations. Seriously, it looks a million times better now. It's unforntunate that you had the issues with parking and such, but they have really done quite a job turning the Cell into a place where people actually want to go to watch a baseball game.

It is still hard for me to get excited about this team, maybe I just had higher expectations then this. Luckily the Twins lost night but the Sox can't afford to lose any games to TB right now.

 Does Joey Cora even know his players, even an idiot like me knows Kornerko is gassed after running 90 feet. JOEY YOU NEED TO BE INTRODUCED TO YOUR PLAYERS!

Bottom Line: They HAVE got to take 5 out of 6 from Tampa and KC. 6 out of 6 would be ideal, but we need at least 5 here.

Yep, I haven't looked at the September schedules for the Twinkies and Sox, but you're right. I think all 6 is a must, but with the way this team has been playing, who knows?

yanks should have lost, proctor blew it big time. getting mlb tv in a few days so i can follow the action, but the espn gamecast with taguchi up, full count then, "ball hit in play..." then watching the little ball go across myscreen was quite exciting

I like the NFL.com version too. Watching that little dot move gets me all tingly inside.
I ####### hate watching this thing when I have money on a baseball game. The way that ball hangs in the air sometimes, and when there is a ball hit to the outfield I'm always thinking, "Oh come on, no freaking way that the outfielder isn't standing right there. Then the little yellow circle runs to first base and I am :wall: :wall: .

The White Sox pitching staff won't be taking them anywhere deep into the playoffs...

Granted they've got to get put the Twins or Tigers behind them to end the season first.

Day and night difference between last year and this year...

Dear OzziePlease put B-Mac in the starting rotation.Love,Green94

IF the White Sox are so fortunate to be a playoff team:

I'm hoping that Ozzie will go with a 3 man rotation in the playoffs featuring Garland, Contreras and Buerhle.

We'll see what happens, but I think Contreras and Buerhle will be fine come playoff time - today being a big start for Contreras, and Buerhle has been better of late.

Saying that, Guillen will probably go with the 4 man rotation and Garcia will be the 4th guy....

If JAVY ####### VAZQUEZ even sees the field in the playoffs I will :X

I think he'll be the long reliever....he's usually ok for a few innings, and he may be needed to compliment Sweaty Freddy....

what a great game to be at last night! we were so close to only being 3.5 back...oh well, only 4.5 back with a 1.5 lead isnt to bad..hopefully KC can continue to help us

Even if Minnesota wins today, which they had better with Santana pitching vs KC, and assuming the White Sox can handle TB one more time, things are looking up for this weekend.Sox, at the very least, should be able to take 2 of 3 from KC, while the Twins will most likely lose 2 of 3 at the Yankees with no Santana in that series. That would mean the Sox have a 2.5 game lead on the WC, heading into Boston for labor day....

And Boston is in trouble right now without any of their players :bye:

Did they make Hermanson playoff available? I know they did for Owen's.

Hermy is pitching AA I think untill the minor league playoffs are overthen coming up. Dang I thought the bullpen was bettter than this.

I don't think you can pin point anyone thing with this series. I know it was Tampa Bay, but you just lost 2 of 3 from the Twins and you needed a sweep from one of the lesser teams in the AL (although TB does have their moments).

They don't look inspired throughout an entire series. The 12 runs were great in the first game, but countered by giving up 9 to TB.

Yesterday was a great comeback, but we couldn't follow that up today with what would have been a huge win to cap a sweep and move a game closer to the Tigers.

Who knows...maybe they are really going to turn it on later this week. I just don't know how much longer they can wait.
