Boone Logan stinks, I mean it wasn't really his fault, but the guy is just bad. He can mow guys down in Spring training, but as soon as the season starts :bag: Is Thorton hurt or something?? :)

If we get the bats poppin we will be in good shape. I agree with WB about Logan- that was a sad performance. Paulie is in his typical slump phase but we need him. KC is a team that can really put a scare into us. They played the Twins tough and this is no gimmie. Still- nice to get 2-3 from the Rangers and the Tigers....

Time to focus our attention on DA BEARS
:lmao: ;) :(
Did you mean Cubs? They might be the best team in town now. :bye:
And why is that the case?
Pitching down?
Hey DD there is one thing that you have to understand about the Cubs- they are just cursed I mean flat out cursed and they are not the best team in town. They have good players and they should not be in last place 5 games out right now. As you know by now the Sox have some solid pitching. It is still early but the Cubs keep defying logic and they are paper tigers.....

Yes we need Paul and Erstad and Gooch. Come on guys we need to get the bats going. The Tigers, Twins and Tribe are going to be tough all year!

I'm off lately because it doesn't seem like I can even start a decent i-fight with White Sux fans.

Just goes to show you that it is going to a LONG hard fought year from all of us! We need to get a Twin fan in here!

We would have lost that game last year. I like the focus! Thorton is in danger of taking the long bus ride. Do not think that we will see a game tonight due to the weather. Cold rain....

Sox put out the old triple A lineup tonight.
:banned: :banned: :lmao:
Code:
Chicago White Sox Hitters AB R H RBI BB SO LOB AVG Darin Erstad, CF 4 0 1 0 0 1 2 .224 Tadahito Iguchi, 2B 4 0 1 0 0 1 2 .259 Paul Konerko, 1B 4 0 0 0 0 1 1 .203 A.J. Pierzynski, C 3 1 0 0 0 1 0 .206 Joe Crede, 3B 3 1 0 0 1 1 0 .221 Rob Mackowiak, RF 2 0 1 0 0 1 0 .219 Andy Gonzalez, PR-RF 1 0 0 0 1 1 0 .000 Pablo Ozuna, LF 3 0 0 1 1 0 1 .250 Juan Uribe, SS 2 0 1 1 1 0 0 .262 Brian Anderson, DH 4 0 0 0 0 2 6 .118 Totals 30 2 4 2 4 9 Batting
Guillen rested Thome and Dye (who is the suck this year) because he thought he could sneak them out versus Durbin. Guess that didn't work out since your Triple A guys like Konerko, Crede, and Uribe forgot their bats at home.

WoW! Dye sucks? We shall see. We had three starters out but no excuses as we had some chance but Gooch was sucking. The one thing that I have noticed is the Tiger’s bullpen is a joke. I think that you can concur with that one DD. If they cannot turn it around this will be the demise of the Motor City Kitties!

Ohhh and those Triple A guys u mention must have sore ring fingers from sporting a WS Championship. Ahhhh so close yet so far away there my friend!

I think you missed the whole point on the Triple A guys. Look again. I think that is a pretty good lineup myself. Tigers bullpen is erratic but they are pretty much the same guys that were there last year so I think they'll be fine. As far as Dye goes, he's on my fantasy team so i wish he would do something!

^ Yes as I was just having fun with ya. I like the way Mags is swinging the bat and Thames looks good (why did he come out last night)? Pudge at the top last night looked agressive. He looks like he just came into that game real fired up and that is a true leader. Some of the Sox are still asleep at the wheel. I am telling you now that KC is going to be good this year so this can be a 5 team race for a while. I have concerns when Thome starts to get the rib injury as the torque is his ABs are going to be rough. No excuses here as injuries are part of the game. I think the central can eat up wins vs the west and the east with the exception being Boston and Baltimore looks good thus far. The Yanks are going to be lucky to stay at .500. I see another WS with an AL Central team this year!

I'll say this about KC, they play with heart. They also have some decent talent and some of the guys are stepping up. I just see them really struggling in this division with that pitching staff.I'd be a little surprised if Cleveland won this division but not terribly surprised. I think the Twins have a slight advantage over the others long-term but it's all going to come down to play within the division. Whoever wins this division needs to win 44 games versus the teams within the division and I think only one team will do that. So you beat the top three other teams 30 total times (57 games) and beat the Royals 14 times (19 games). So you figure 44-34 in the division and and 48-36 outside the division as being the target. That's 92 wins as my over/under for the division champion. I wouldn't be surprised to see three teams with 90 wins so this should be a race right down to the wire.

Update on Thome?
He's not going on the DL, that much I know.
Apparently he is, whoops.
Rowand for Thome is in the same ballpark of suckass Chicago trades as Sammy Sosa for George Bell.
I'd call it a wash. Rowand, outside of this April and a catch last year that has made Phillie folk lore has been nothing special there. The only reason I'd give any edge to Philly is they've filled the position left by the traded player with an MVP caliber player in Howard while the White Sox are left with a failed Brian Anderson experiment and Darin Erstad to fill the void.

This is a lineup that cannot continue. Rob Macoviak (sp) and Cintron in the same lineup? That is just brutal. We seem to have gotten decent starting pitching, bullpen work and good defense in April but the offense is struggling. No one can bunt on this team with any consistency. With Pods out we have not been able to play small ball and the limpness of the Dye and Konerko bats has been adding onto the demise. I have news on the Thome injury- this is not a good thing at all because he generates so much torque on his swing that the rib injury might hang with him and compound into aggravating his back. If he comes off the DL and re-aggravates his injury we need to get help fast.

All in all not a bad position after April but anytime Jeff Weaver looks like Cy Young there is a serious problem. Let's get Pods back in there and hope to get some small ball and pop in the middle of the lineup. Ohhh and anytime Gooch wants to start to earn his pay....

:lmao: Also that was Jerad Weaver not Jeff. :bye:

Danks has 4 quality starts out of 5 and is 0-4 :hot:  He deserves better then that@! I know Pods and Thome are out and that they are a HUGE part of our offense, but I am seeing the same #### that I have been seeing since last July. :bs: Call me a loser but if we don't stop batting .225 as a team KC with pass us soon.

For all you Joe Crede owners, I just benched him on the 3 f'in teams I have him on, so look for him to explode in the very near future. That's the good news...the better news is the Tigers swept....uh, oh, nevermind.

Back to .500. Big series coming on we need the pitching to stay firm! Thome coming back soon?
They could go on a nice run here. 3 in Minny with Mauer freshly on the DL and missing Santana in the rotation. Then it's at home for 3 with KC.I'd like to think they could go 5-1 through this.Getting back into this race without Thome and Pods would be big.

Yes we need to pick up the pace. The Tribe looks tough and just like the WS in 2005 and the Tigers in 2006- they are starting to push the pack backwards. Come on Crede, JD and Paulie- we need your offense NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
