ETA: She claims its more puerto rican with some white... got the shape but its small.

so it turns out i have had some challenges in the field with 8 errors in 6 games. of course, i did not forsee a half of them being done by Nellie freakin Fox.

Silly me to think I can actually draft pitching in these things.

 
we should have 1 wildcard who plays the ####tiest division winner. play a best of 3 series, all in one day. that would be cool

Im doing ok, but "bullpen" in this formate is a loose definition. Certainly helps to have Ernie Shore at 150 innings.

I'd trade my #3 or 4 starter for less innings but good innings if you need some depth.

 
LOVE these uni's.

I have NEVER owned a pro sports jersey in my adult (or teen) life. Ever.

But that's mighty tempting. (wife would HATE it :shrug: )

Let's trade.

I have an abundance of good to very good outfielders. Needs:

* A few very good innings (I can give back a ton of decent to good innings)

* I'd trade Ott (3rd or OF) for a good hitting 3B with really good D

* Would consider trading Wakefield, who's raking, in a package with someone for a stud OF.

* Would do an upgrade at 2B or SS (good offense and defense for either)

Will look in a bit. I'd love Ott, but I also love how Minoso is hitting plus the fact that he is the only guy I have that resembles a leadoff man.
 
early season trade talk:

Carl Mays, 380 innings of (should be) high #2 pitcher, may need a change of scenery for the right deal.

Would also love a stud or near stud 1B.

Have a number of OFs, a ton of good innings, good amount of very good innings, Carl's early season struggle's notwithstanding.

Let's do it peeps. Champs don't sit with a thumb up their ###. They trade. Like they lived on the ol' silk road.

PS: Mmmmmm. Tequila. My job is to pour the shots, my wifes job is to cook us dinner. Who wins? EVERYONE.

How about... Cullenbine AND Wakefield (or some other combination, but that's nice) in a deal?

This is what friends are for. Down 2-1 in the bottom of the 9th against Two Balls and One Dong...

J.Taylor enters the game to pitch.

D.Snider lines a single to RF.


G.Hodges lines out to P. (Great play by J. Taylor)

Y.Berra grounds to 1B. They get the force at 2B, but the batter beats the throw to 1B to avoid the DP.

(2 outs and one runner on. Should be three outs, but Yogi = SPEED)

G.McDougald hits a bloop single to RCF.

B.Serena smokes a line drive single to RCF. Y.Berra scores. G.McDougald is safe at 3B in a close play.

(Gil = SPEED)

J.Garagiola enters the game as a pinch-hitter for T.Lee.

F.Schupp enters the game to pitch.

J.Garagiola hits a groundball single to RF. G.McDougald scores.

Yogi Berra and Joe Garagiola were best friends growing up on The Hill in St. Louis. Amazingly, when the two tried out together for the St. Louis Cardinals, the Cards spurned Berra in favor of Garagiola. Oops.

So one friend hustles to avoid the third and final out and the other drives in the winning run. :thumbup:
