Da and Dwcool, you snagged the Evans brothers
They do have a couple usable relievers IN THIS FORMAT.The Mets' problem is that they don't even have any good relievers. They're just a wasteland of a franchise. Even if you expanded it to 2012, you'd get Reyes/Wright but that's about it.
Already had a Yankee.Sweated Greco taking this guy, can't let him go another round with yankee/OF slots still open on some teams.
Bobby Murcer, OF Yankees
Solid bat plus the CF glove I need
That's right(Mattingly), it was your Doctor Detroit alias I was sweatingAlready had a Yankee.Sweated Greco taking this guy, can't let him go another round with yankee/OF slots still open on some teams.
Bobby Murcer, OF Yankees

Need a repick for Sambito, Bando is good thoughbest i can figure here is:
joe sambito - P, colt 45tros
sal bando - 3b, unAthletics
was looking at him for midle relief. Hard to find places for 5 IP/G "starters" ... but the tandem idea floated around earlier was a good idea.Roger Nelson KC
pretty sure you could have gotten him in the 13th roundSweated Greco taking this guy, can't let him go another round with yankee/OF slots still open on some teams.
Bobby Murcer, OF Yankees

Yeah, I have plenty of starting pitching so he'll be a middle reliever. It's nice to not have them gas out after 15 pitches.was looking at him for midle relief. Hard to find places for 5 IP/G "starters" ... but the tandem idea floated around earlier was a good idea.Roger Nelson KC
how about frank dipino, p, colt 45trosNeed a repick for Sambito, Bando is good thoughbest i can figure here is:

sal bando - 3b, unAthletics![]()
I had Murcer/Jefferies slotted as my next two picks. We're obviously on the same page here. All the Mets turrible talk has me spooked![]()
Gregg Jefferies, 2B/3B Mets
9.24 - Bogart - Wilbur Cooper - P - Pirates10.01 - Bogart - Dizzy Trout - P - TigersFavor: can anyone go to the Google doc and post all picks from Bogart's 9.24 on through now? Thanks in advance,
He retired when he was 46 years old, one of the oldest players to still be playing in the modern age. Orosco is one of only 29 players in baseball history to date to have appeared in Major League games in four decades.
Orosco also provided one of the most memorable images of the 1986 World Series and it would become an iconic image to the Mets and their fans: after striking out Marty Barrett to end the series, he threw his glove way up in the air and immediately dropped to his knees while catcher Gary Carter ran out to the mound to embrace him. The photo was taken by Mets photographer George Kalinsky, who's also the photographer at Madison Square Garden. For many years—and probably to the chagrin of Red Sox fans—this was the final scene shown during the ending credits of the syndicated Major League Baseball news show This Week in Baseball.
Coincidentally, Jerry Koosman, whom the Mets had traded to Minnesota in the deal that brought Orosco to New York, was on the mound for the final out of the 1969 World Series—to date, the only other Fall Classic the Mets have won. The final batter in that World Series, Davey Johnson, would be Orosco's manager on the '86 World Championship team.
He finished his career with an ERA of 3.16, and is the all-time record holder for games (by a pitcher), with 1252. He has 74 more than Cincinnati Reds' reliever Mike Stanton who is second with 1178.
Orosco became eligible for the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 2009. 75% of the vote was necessary for induction, and 5% was necessary to stay on the ballot. He received 0.2% of the vote and dropped off the ballot.
METS RUN!
13.03 -- Jesse Orosco, Middle Relief
my next pick!More walks, more homers, less IP, right-handed. All depends on what you want I guess.Skip Lockwood, RP, New York Mets
Looking again, I'm pretty sure his 1976 year is better than any of Orosco's anyways...![]()
Roger Nelson KC
He was part of a major trade with the Baltimore Orioles which sent Don Buford to Baltimore and brought future Hall of Famer Luis Aparicio back to the White Sox
After one season with Baltimore, he was chosen by the Kansas City Royals with the first selection in the American League phase of the 1968 Major League Baseball expansion draft. Along with Wally Bunker, Nelson formed a formidable starting duo for the expansion Royals in 1969, compiling a 3.31 ERA in 29 starts.
That offseason, Nelson was traded to the Cincinnati Reds in a deal that would bring long-time Royals mainstay Hal McRae to Kansas City for the first time.
Ah, I remember not so fondly my great Cliff Johnson at catcher experiment in one of these things.13.07 Cliff Johnson, OF/C/1B, Astros
terrible defense, but .991 ops and can serve as 3rd catcher, 2nd 1B, and 5th OF

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0Aj_ejpLu7-zEdHBISHNEMjNnblFqckt5ejZmRzdwSkE#gid=0Does anyone not have any players from the 16 that were active in 1903? (Angels, Astros, Brewers, Jays/Mariners, Expos, Mets, Padres, Royals, Rangers)...Does anyone have all 9 of those spots full? It'll be interesting to see if stocking up on the older franchises and punting some/most of the newer ones is a better or worse strategy than picking the newer ones first and taking lesser players from the older franchises. Hopefully we have someone at both extremes.
He gone. Picked as a Phillie by Frosty in round 10.MetParanoia!!
13.13- LHP Tug "Don't Call Me Tim" McGraw, Miserable Mets
2 IP is nifty and he keeps the ball in the park, so he's Franco Approved.
