... probably do better putting him at 3B.Quick question...can I play him some at 1B even though he doesn't have a rating there?
I'd suggest playing him at 3rd.Edit: dammit, beat to the punchFranco can better answer this, but the short answer is yes, with some defensive penalty (although probably not a lot).Quick question...can I play him some at 1B even though he doesn't have a rating there?
in BTTF2, i played Pujols and Morneau in LF/RF without any problem. They both had a B/A rating at 1B. So i assume it would work OK in reverse, given my perception that 1B/LF/RF are similar on the defensive spectrum.16.18 - Dave Winfield, OF, Padres
Not the absolute best fit for my team, but I figure he's far and away the best Padre left. 308/395/558 with 34 HRs in '79.

Yeah, that won't go nearly as bad as Larry's gambit. You'll get a penalty for out of position, but you're moving the easier way on the scale.16.18 - Dave Winfield, OF, Padres

Since Killebrew has such a bad rating there or because it would be best for Winfield?ETA: Or just poking fun at Larry?I'd suggest playing him at 3rd.Franco can better answer this, but the short answer is yes, with some defensive penalty (although probably not a lot).Quick question...can I play him some at 1B even though he doesn't have a rating there?
I have no idea why I am making this pick.

I have a few things I'll do at times.Obviously they won't all be used every time around the rotation. It will be more like 1-2-3-4-1-2-5-3-1-2-3-1-2-4-3-1-2-5-3, etc.Also considering using Jay and Hearn or Perez at times as a tandem and just giving the relievers the night off since Jay only has 5 IP/game.How are you going to manage SPs 3,4,5?SP 1946 Hal Newhouser L 26-9-1 308 1.94 .201 1.07 8.46 3.01 0.31 275-98 $10,939,260SP 1988 Teddy Higuera L 16-9-0 228 2.45 .207 1.00 7.60 2.34 0.59 192-59 $7,719,161SP 1950 Jim Hearn R 11-4-0 141 2.49 .182 0.96 3.90 2.96 0.60 58-44 $5,197,820SP 1988 Pascual Perez R 12-8-0 188 2.44 .196 0.94 6.27 2.11 0.72 131-44 $6,088,503SP 1958 Joey Jay R 7-5-0 102 2.14 .177 1.07 6.89 4.00 0.74 74-43 $3,383,168RP 1989 Jeff Russell R 6-4-38 73 1.98 .182 0.95 9.54 2.97 0.50 77-24 $2,723,052RP 1976 Skip Lockwood R 10-7-19 95 2.67 .186 1.02 10.30 3.24 0.57 108-34 $3,259,450RP 1968 Andy Messersmith R 4-2-4 82 2.21 .157 0.97 8.19 3.87 0.33 74-35 $3,040,213RP 1967 Don McMahon R 5-0-3 92 1.67 .173 0.88 7.27 2.65 0.49 74-27 $3,314,466Pitching Totals 97-48-65 1,309 2.23 .191 1.00 7.48 2.87 0.53 1063-408 $45,665,093I'm a little disappointed in the lack of Lefties since my first 2 pitchers. He's been shticking the whole time...he'll be fine.Bogart is four picks behind now, and at this pace will soon be six picks down.
Tend to agree here. If anything we should give him the option after the draft to be free to swap players with some remaining if he wants, which could be the beat way to give him a boost.Obviously this isn't foremost on his mind with what's unfortunately going on.He's been shticking the whole time...he'll be fine.Bogart is four picks behind now, and at this pace will soon be six picks down.

Not too worried. I already have 1700 IP and 6200 PA. All I am drafting now is bench guys who wont play and pitchers who wont pitch. Franchises can be as thin as possible...SCBF is really going to hate these last few rounds.
