OFFICIAL WIS XVIII THREAD: An Ode to Claude Hendrix (1 Viewer)

I should have taken Medwick, even told myself earlier if Lynn was gone I was going Medwick. Then a bunch of stuff happened and I forgot because this isn't as important as Sicilian broads.

There are lots of things more important than pretend baseball drafts
Go on...
Can't think of any right now. I left my list at work.
WIS Baseball ranks pretty low in my list.

Sure, you say that after you blow your draft in search of reliving the summer of '98.

In terms of priority it ranks really low:

Running a business

Taking care of my kids

Paying the ex child support

Paying my own bills

Taking care of my girlfriend

WIS Draft

In terms of fun:

My kids

WIS draft

everything else

You know, I kind of like having my 3 and 4 hitters slug over .700 after normalization. So suck it. :coffee:

Man, it's not intentional but my team seems to have a lot of flexibility. Nomar is basically the same in 99 and 2000. Mize is basically the same in 39 and 40. Speaker has great years in the 10s and the 20s. Bonus..

You're doing well, I'm happy for you

I hope so. Been a long time since I scored 4 TDs in a game back in high school. Don't want to keep living off past glory forever. Polk High was a long time ago.

I actually kind a like the Kenworthy pick this morning. Maybe the best Fed League bat left and a decent enough 2Bman.

I still should have taken Medwick but Kenworthy is fine.

**** Allen - Will decide 1B/70's or 3B 60's later

Lots of walks compared with singles and lots of XBH so hopefully will do well at the Polo Grounds.

7.14 - Hippo Vaughn, SP
Hippo Vaughn was residing in Kenosha, Wisconsin when he was stabbed by his father-in-law at midnight on November 24, 1920, during an argument at the Vaughn home. At the time he was in divorce proceedings with a hearing set in a few days. His wife's father, former Kenoshan Harry DeBolt who now lived in the east, returned to Kenosha to attend the hearing. Newspaper reports at the time said DeBolt was angered over charges made by Vaughn that his wife had been friendly with other men.

However, James and Mrs. Vaughn had already effected a reconciliation before the case was to be heard. Their 9-year-old son was with them.

As Vaughn was returning to his home he was met on the street by his father-in-law, and an argument followed. DeBolt, according to the police report, slashed at the pitcher with a razor, cutting through his overcoat and inflicting a wound to the stomach. Vaughn was taken to the Kenosha Hospital and was able to leave the facility within a few days. Following the stabbing incident, DeBolt fled the city and was sought by police in several jurisdictions.
Stupid Wisconsin.
