1. They are guesstimations at this point.2. They are the # numbers in each player's advanced stats in WIS. They compute how a player would perform in a "normal" era.How do you guys figure batting order. Is it based on some computation, or hey, this guy would look good here
ETA: and what are normalized stats
The sim uses a log5 based system to normalize performance across different eras. A 3.0 ERA in a pitching season like 1968 is a lot less valuable than in a runs heavy year like 2006.How do you guys figure batting order. Is it based on some computation, or hey, this guy would look good here
ETA: and what are normalized stats
Normalized stats are era adjusted, you can find them on the advanced tab of the player season profiles. How do you guys figure batting order. Is it based on some computation, or hey, this guy would look good here

ThisHow do you guys figure batting order. Is it based on some computation, or hey, this guy would look good here
You also need to consider PA/162 when constructing your batting order. If your highest OBP guy only has 600 PAs, he'll get fatigued if you bat him leadoff every day.Normalized stats are era adjusted, you can find them on the advanced tab of the player season profiles. How do you guys figure batting order. ETA: and what are normalized stats
I do line-up projections based on how a player profiles in the normal line-up construction methodology. EG - you want your high OBP guys up front, higher slugging guys in the middle, etc. Number of PAs factors in also if you need to protect a guy who is a little short of a full season.

WIS gives everybody a 10% bump over real life PA/162 and IP/162.
And in this league you may need a few more per slot. Snuffy is a handsome man. He looks good anywhere.Stirnweiss does not look good in the #2 spot, for example.

Yeah, he's barely making an effort IMO. He should just ask to be put on autoskip so we don't have to debate this every round.Larry getting left in the dust here, right?
Be sure you use PA/162 and IP/162 instead of real-life PA and IP. WIS adjusts every season (including strike seasons) to 162 games.#check back laterFranco shared this a while back breaking down PAs per batting order slotYou also need to consider PA/162 when constructing your batting order.
