OFFICIAL WIS XVIII THREAD: An Ode to Claude Hendrix (3 Viewers)

I'm doing this for Tre:

Dolph muthafukin' 1B Camilli.

Goodbye thirties. **** Allen, welcome home - 3B.

Probably.

Decade count will we wait for Koya. :coffee:

FL 12

1890s 30

1900s 38

1910s 35

1920s 25

1930s 30

1940s 34

1950s 28

1960s 36

1970s 38

1980s 45

1990s 44

2000s 44
Close battle between 80's, 90's, and 2000's for which decade will be done first.

I bet its going to nice when people are the only one left with a certain decade and they can just sit back and wait for their player.

Fred Tenney, C 1890's
Already have Stenzel and Connor in the 1890s.

ETA: Putting Tenney in the 1900s?
Sure. So much for a good OBP backup catcher.
Ok, so now knowing he doesn't play C in 1900's I have no use for him. Can I throw him back and have a selection at the end of the draft after everyone has completed their teams. This was a bad couple hours for me.
Just re-pick.

BTW, the 40's and 50's really are the suck.

Especially the 50's. No wonder Ted Williams was so good, all the pitchers were shiit.
:goodposting:

Dreadful is a good word to describe the 50s (except Fonzie and Ike of course)
Kinda glad I got Mathews early on because the 50s are brutal in general. 40s ever-so-slightly better.
I'm happy I was able to get Mays and Kaline. Sparty sitting pretty with Mantle and Campy.

Hoos x4 skips

Avoiding injuries x1 makeup (rookies :snort:)
Chem X1 skips (still shaken?)

TRE - OTC to XX:32 (PMed)
Sparty
SNC (autoskip)
Hoos (autoskip)
Rodg
Bradymarino
Frosty (text at Gophers game...one man list)
Bogart
Larryboy
Kraft
Pumpnick

The general mediocrity of the 50s might make it good for a future short-era sim. We'd probably have to blacklist Mantle and a few others but we'd be able to get away from the usual cookies.

Thanks. Dutch Leonard, RP 1940s.

I think a different Leonard was drafted earlier.

Maybe 40's too? Pretty shallow there as well.

Just looked, and I have a 1940's left, also.

Some good stuff going to be added to my roster.

1940-1959: The Dark Years
That sounds more like torture. What next, you want to make it a cap league too?
Cap league WITH dice roll. :pickle:
I still think the dice roll league was a good concept. It introduced an element of variability that is closer to real life. BTTF has this in spades of course but that's a different story.

You see my edit? LOL
I wish we could do alphabet soup. :kicksrock:

This seems like a perfect time for me to get nostalgic about when Dutch Leonard pitched a CGSO and hit a solo homer to beat Koya 1-0 in the Sim II World Series.

Be nice if I had won since then.

I have a 1950's and but done with 40's, 1890's and '60's. '80's done too, which is sorta a mixed bag.

I thought you won two?

My only world series loss.

Was surprised that 80s wasn't as deep as I thought it'd be.
