First time at a Hurricane Bar and Wings. A million times better atmosphere than BWW
You still there?
Down in sunny boca at the National Multi Housing Conference networking and deal making all day and most of the night - until we hit Rachel's where we are deal making in another manner.

And, of course, pissed that I missed out on Sim Live for no (good) reason over the past weekend.

At least a nice warm FLA day is here to ease the Champs pain. And it's nice to know some of you care. I appreciate all the kind well wishes and pms during this unnecessarily difficult time. Never had to go through something like this in my life.

But, thanks to those of you who are true friends and ifriends, we will persevere.

Ooh, the Inland Empire. Sorry about that. About an hour from anything decent. I am about 30 minutes from there. I feel your pain!

I'm well aware of the exciting culture. Went to College in Claremont which is actually a neat little town and close to the mountains. Anything much east of their is dreadfully awful - unless you like meth and white trash. And were 30-40 miles east. The campus of ESRI where we will be is pretty cool though, with a NoCal feel

Anyone else feel this has moved from mildly humorous to mildly disconcerting?
:goodposting:

It's done. Time to move on. If SimLive is that big of a deal, go SimLive right now. The teams are all there.
Am on my cell. Meetings all day and night same tomorrow same Friday. Plus, the carefree nature of those preseason games and maybe a mini tournament has always been a great part of this. I won't beat a dead horse about the how and why, but the bitterness is actually for real and I will, humorously or otherwise, beat that drum. We must live with the decisions we make.

It's all I have left.

Not sure if Koya is The Champ...

...or little Ricky Schroeder.

I'm mildly intrigued that you're going to be my first victim opponent in the regular season.
Late night SimLive?
I by late night, you mean sometime in the hours before midnight, I'm down.
Not sure we'll be able to play the games until after that first one sims, which is usually 12:30-1:00 central.

Then again, I only have a few days until my vacation and have tentative plans to be out of this place in a few months, so...

I'll do my best to be up, GB RnR.

No better sleeping weather on Earth. I sleep like a baby here.

BTW, what is done is done and what has been lost is lost, I will gladly defer to detente should we agree to never have such a needless abomination in the future. Once we are at round 20, if not sooner, there is no reason not to let the children play, the joy ensue, the exhilaration commence.

If we want to place penalties for those who fail to somehow have an accurate roster (a red herring if I've ever heard one, as it's never been a major issue before), that's fine, it's the details.

But the philosophy of delaying fun in an exercise that is to be just that should never again be embraced. Fight for your right to preseason sim live.

Nice, I own a business in Montclair and go to the bank in Claremont all the time. My girlfriend loves walking through the colleges there. Nice choice of higher education.

Nice . I went to Pomona College. Lived up on Sebastapol, a small court north of campus my final year.I probably won't have much time on this trip but am out that way a few times a year. We will need to corn hole. Is that divey bar with the castle motif still around?

Most importantly, are you a fan of The Hat

And the fight will continue until the power hungry myopic leaders listen to the will of the people as I suggested above.

Yeah, just edited. Was a fav during college and wed even drive out when I lived in Hollywood. Went back on my last trip out to Redlands a few months ago for the first time in 15 years - best pastrami I've had and that's from a NY Jew

koya's shtick is even more hilarious when he's complaining about not being able to access something THAT DOESN'T ####### WORK.

Mine too, for that matter.
