***Official Wisconsin is Overranked Thread*** (1 Viewer)

Anybody who has watched the Badgers this year KNOWS that they are overrated at #5. The defense is pathetic - 2 weeks in a row they haven't been able to defend the "screen left". Both Iowa and Michigan St would have dominated....if only either team had a QB who could throw well downfield. The DB opposite Ike is terrible - #17 - can't remember his name. He'll get picked on during the entire Big Ten season. Donovan is erratic - and seems at times incapable of looking beyond his first read. The O-line isn't opening as many holes as recent years. PJ Hill is a beast, but he'll get worn down eventually.Frankly, a #5 ranking is a gift. Oh yeah, I'm a huge Badgers homer, so don't group me with the PAC-10 freaks like LHUCKS. I'm just calling it like I see it.
yet another Badger homer chiming in with some objectivity...very impressive. ;)
LHUCKS commenting on objectivity.... :goodposting:

I think it's silly for conference rivals who are going to play each other to be so closely ranked. One team is gonna beat the other. You know you're gonna drop them in the rankings after they lose. Sack up and predict which team will lose and rank them appropriately.

USC has to play Cal.

Wisconsin has to play Ohio St.

Until recently, Texas - OU and LSU - UF games would've mattered if they had played while unbeaten.

2 big teams in the top 5. I think we can pretty much put to rest what it the best conference.

THE BIG TEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You mean Kentucky beat Lou./Ark. As an alumnus and having seen them play twice live this season, they're very much like the Bengals. The offense can score on anybody, but the defense is too small and will get worn down by LSU/Florida in back-to-back games. They've got a shot to take S. Carolina this weekend, though. They're 0-14 against Spurrier.

:deadhorse:

As I said earlier in the thread - I am a :homer: and told you the Badgers are bad this year. There was no "exposure" in the Illini game - it was apparent for 6 weeks now.

The majority of college football experts have stated that Wisconsin was ranked too high. No surprise here.

Wisconsin lost by 5 on the road to a very good team.

No shame in that at all, hell they rolled up over 500yds on offense.

Nothing to hang your head about. Wisconsin was overranked a bit (some one had to move up with all the recent Top 15 losses), but losing to a now Top 25 program in Illinois shouldn't result in a big tumble.I believe Illinois's a lot better than many believe. The recent piss poor production out of the program does that.

As a Mizzou fan this makes me happy - because when we roll Nebraska tonight we get a huge bump due to the Illinois upset of Wisconsin (thanks to a victory over Illinois).I hate to count chickens before they are hatched, but I so want to get the W over NU in a blowout fashion. If only the D can hold up.

At least they didn't lose to Stanford, a 40 point underdog, at home. So they have that going for them.

They reason Wisconsin was ranked #5 was basically a combination of their preseason ranking and by default. Going into the season everyone figured the defense would be great and the offense would be good. Well, the offense is good but the defense stinks despite returning numerous starters from a year ago. Wisconsin will settle into their typical role of somewhere between 10 and 25. Unfortunately, they don't recruit well enough to sustain a top 5 rating. If they want to be a national power, they need to make a major recruiting push.

Now the waiting game. Maybe not top 10 just yet (we can get that by upsetting OU next week - a daunting task). However, it sure was nice to smoke NU (offensively and defensively) and not be surprised to the point that the goal posts had to come down. The tide has turned. Go Tigers!

Basically LHUCKS does not have any winning traditions at University of Arizona, so he must brag up his conference.

He does need help.

Loved the post where someone pointed out how LHUCKS spelled patriotism in his sigs.

I think it has something to do with a special friend of his.

Nice to see that the 2007 Badgers Football team has matured to the point that they've been able to make the NCAA Men's Basketball Final Four/

Perhaps. But if someone would go though the 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, or 2012 NCAA basketball tourney thread, you would see LHucks going on and on at how terrible Wisconsin basketball team is.

I could have sworn that he started a thread like this about Wisconsin basketball. In my drunken stupor last night, I didn't read this that closely.

In any event, let's not focus on my mistakes, let's continue to #### on LHUCKS.
