Online Jeopardy Test (1 Viewer)

We get it, dude.  You were on the show.  Congrats.
 Just thought some people might be interested. Don't hate me because I'm beautiful.
Just tell us when it's going to air or go away.
I will when it is closer to air-date. Why the hate, guy?
Why the secrecy, chief?
Not really a secret, boss.
Just ####ing spill it then, Ace.
Just be sure to watch Jeopardy the second week of April and keep an eye out for a guy from Texas named Harrison.

"JEOPARDY!" AMERICA'S FAVORITE QUIZ SHOW® LAUNCHES ITS FIRST-EVER ONLINE TESTING EVENT MARCH 28, 29 & 30th

(CULVER CITY, CA, March 22, 2006) For the first time ever, Jeopardy! will give its fans a more convenient and accessible way to become a contestant on the nation's #1 quiz show. Launching March 28th, 29th and 30th, the challenging Jeopardy! contestant test will be offered online as the first step toward being on the show.

Every year, the Jeopardy! contestant coordinators travel the nation seeking and testing over 25,000 potential contestants through an exclusive audition process. Now, online testing will allow even more Jeopardy! fans the chance to participate. The lucky applicants who pass the online test and are selected for an interview will be invited to come to their preferred audition city and meet the contestant coordinating team in person. During Spring and Summer of 2006, the coordinators will visit over a dozen cities across the country. Ultimately only 400 people per year will be chosen to compete at the famous Jeopardy! podiums.

"Our online testing process allows our many viewers the opportunity to take the test from their very own computer, at home, at the office----virtually anywhere," said Harry Friedman, Executive Producer of Jeopardy! "Now we can meet thousands of potential contestants who may not have had the opportunity to try out before. "

The preliminary online screening consists of a 50-question, 50-category test which takes approximately ten minutes to complete. For more information, go to www.jeopardy.com for details and a complete list of rules.
On the night of your test, be at your computer and online 15 minutes before the test begins. Don't wait until the last minute!

Click on the "Log In / Launch Test" button. If you attempt to launch the test too early, you will be prompted to wait until the proper time, then re-launch.

Enter your User Name (your registered email address) and Password. When you are successfully logged in the countdown clock will appear. When the clock reaches :00 the test will begin. There will be no other prompts.

The test will begin at precisely three minutes after the hour and will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. For more details about the test, see below.

Taking the test:

The online test is a 50-question, 50-category test and will take approximately ten minutes to complete. Clues will appear one at a time and will run sequentially from one to fifty. You cannot pause, stop, or go back on the test. The test will not be repeated, and there will be no opportunity to review at the end of the test, nor to change any of your responses.

Timing:

You will have fifteen seconds to respond to each clue - or to change your answer - before the test automatically captures whatever you have typed and advances automatically to the next question. You will have the option to submit your response before the clock times out for a particular clue if you are ready to proceed, or you can wait for the full 15 seconds for your response to be automatically submitted.

Important Tips:

DO NOT PHRASE YOUR RESPONSE IN THE FORM OF A QUESTION! Only the relevant piece of information is necessary

A partial response may be enough to count as a correct answer so take a guess and put something down!

Remember to keep the categories in mind as you consider your response. Correct responses must fit within the parameters of the category as well as the clue.

This is not a spelling test, but try to be as accurate as possible in your responses.

In the case of proper names, last names are sufficient for the purposes of this test.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After the Test

The tests will be graded. Whether you pass or not, JEOPARDY! never reveals actual test scores. Depending on the number of people who achieve a passing score, a random selection process may need to be implemented. Those selected will be invited to come to their preferred audition city that was selected during registration to participate in the full audition process consisting of:

Being tested with a new different 50-question test.

Playing a "mock version" of JEOPARDY! to assess your game-playing skills

A short personality interview

If you pass all the requirements to become a contestant you will be entered into the contestant pool for one year. Passing these tests does not guarantee you an appearance on JEOPARDY! or make you automatically eligible to appear on the show.

Call it whatever you want. I just don't understand the point of creating the alias and starting a thread bragging about how you're going to be on the show and then refusing to give us details about the air date.I'm seriously the only one that doesn't undestand this?

No, but so far you are the only one to be a ##### about it. Lighten up.

I agree with shuke. Lame runup into a show that I probably will miss.

You realize he didn't even offer this limited info until I badgered him enough. Why can't he just give the ####ing date?

Lighten up, Francis.
Wow. Clever.

Seriously guys, I'm not "bitter" about this or anything. I'm just trying to figure out if he wants us to watch it or not.

I find it hard to believe that your calendar is so full that you have to know >2 weeks in advance so that you can carve out time for Jeopardy.

I'm not refusing to do anything. Since I'm such a bragger you can be sure that I will let everyone know when it airs.

Okay. I just don't understand why it's a big secret until then.

And to think I was going to buy you a new shirt with my winnings...with even BIGGER cuffs.
Don't waste your time. Get something you have a clue about.
