Onside kick recovery points for team defense? (1 Viewer)

If special teams counts for team defense, wouldn't a onside kick recovery count as a turnover for the defense? I use CBS and they didn't count it as a fumble recovery?

I would assume/guess that, since the receiving team never took possession, it's not a fumble.

Either way, I don't think I've ever seen it count as points in fantasy.

I've never seen it scored either. That said, it's a pretty big special teams play so it doesn't make much sense that it's 0 points. Either way, I don't think cbs does live scoring for a lot of special teams plays. There are often posts about SFRTD not being scored immediately for example
