Glad to hear you are able to go with your son. I'll be at opening day in Cincinnati (vs the Mets). I would say about 40% of our office takes opening day off every year. Even some people who don't have Reds tickets go down for the parade.I have two tickets to opening day Dbacks 4/6/09. I will be there with my youngest son. Work and the problems of life can suck it. I cant wait.

There was more traffic at last nights Opener than any of the WS games, it was ridiculous.
Also maybe I don't get it but why would you go to some random parking lot tailgate and drink if you are not even going to the game. I don't get it.
You show up a 2-3 oclock for a baseball game and sit in that parking lot all day having to piss in port-o-johns, etc and then not even go in. why not just have a party at the house, apartment

That sucks. I am getting ready to head out soon. We are looking at 80 degrees here today. From what I am reading pregame stuff will be with the roof open and they will close it for the game. On one hand I prefer roof open. On the other hand I am in those seats directly in the sun. Generally the will move us when this happens but it looks like a sell out so there are no seats to be moved to. Never "worked" an opening day in my life, not about to start now. Of course, there were always mysterious afternoon meetings to attend when I was an employee....
Hopefully the whole east coast doesn't get washed out, ESPN had a bunch of games ticketed for today, but Sox-Rays is already a washout, and I know the White Sox got banged too.

You should probably go see it. It'll be the best pitch thrown by somebody from Texas all day.Indians at Rangers. Some serious tailgating starting in about two hours.I doubt we'll make it into the park in time to see Dubya throw out the first pitch.
