I see a lot of businesses with these having going out of business sales.  Then I hear a commercial on the radio today from a furniture store claiming they have a $30 million inventory of oriental rugs and they're selling them all for like 12 cents or something.

Are these things really worthless and just trumped up or are the people trying to sell them horrible business people?

Can't get the article behind the WSJ paywall, but apparently there was an oriental rug store in Texas that literally named itself "Going Out of Business".
