I have Rivers and Orton. RBs are Peterson, McCoy, Bradshaw and Caddy.I offered Orton and Caddy for Jacobs and Cutler. I'll let you know if it goes down.

I have the exact same combination of Rivers and Orton. This season, Orton will never attain the marquee value of the elite QB's, although he may perform as well as many of them.My current strategy is to hold for another 2-3 weeks to see how Orton a) makes it through the next series of tough games (BAL, NYJ in particular) and b) how his passing stats are affected by the prospective return of Moreno and a running game. If he continues to put up good numbers, then I'm likely shopping Rivers (in combination w/ another starter maybe like Bradshaw or J.Charles) and most likely asking for a stud RB in return.I just don't think Orton will ever command the value he's worth in redraft until he has at least one big season under his belt. The Schaub comparison is a good one, IMO.

you actually think its a knock on him that he finished qb14 last year? in a brand new complicated offense on a team with a pretty strong defense?

In a 10 or 12 team league that makes him a QB2. It's not like he finished top 5 last year, he still has to prove he can be a QB1 for a full season.ETA: Meaning he has to prove it for a full season before most people will give up QB1 value for him.
