Oswalt for Jeter...or Vladi (1 Viewer)

SS has been struggling for me...and I have been offered Jeter for Oswalt straight up.

This would be very good for me...but the guy offering it is killing everyone right now and has a pretty strong team. Losing Jeter would not hurt him...at least not right now with Theriot hitting so well...but getting Oswalt would be very good for his pitching staff.

My staff would be fine with Sheets, Haren, Owings, Looper, Greinke, Carmona, Lester, Danks, Putz and Carpenter (stashed) (we play 4 starters one RP and Greinke is RP eligible).

Im not in as big of a need for an OF...but love Vladi and he would be an upgrade and maybe allow me to move someone else to go after a better pitcher or make a move at an SS.

Thoughts?

If you have a chance at Vladi and all you need to move is Oswalt, jump at that. You can probably flip him for a higher tier SS than Jeter, or at least get more value in return. Oswalt on name is a great pitcher, and has had a great career. that said, is stuff has diminshed to the point where he's just not a top tier option any longer. Adding him to the top team in the league doesn't help him as much as you'd think.

Im hoping the guy takes the Vladi offer...he said he would consider it and I already have the Jeter owner offering me Jeter for him.

I think either one would be a good deal and help me...but the Jeter one would help the other guy too much IMO (hoping for Vladi)

Thankfully the guy took the Vladi deal late friday...before Oswalt ended up getting shelled and then hurt Saturday.
