I decided to research this out of boredom. Only 13 RB's have had 300+ carry seasons once hitting 30 years old (some have done it more than once). Here are those seasons, in order from oldest to youngest (birthdays used to break ties):

John Riggins - 1984 - 35 yrs old

Walter Payton - 1986 - 32 yrs old

Lamar Smith - 2001 - 31 yrs old

Tiki Barber - 2005 - 30 yrs old

Tony Dorsett - 1984 - 30 yrs old

Rickey Watters - 1999 - 30 yrs old

A few notes about this list...

- Tiki Barber, Tony Dorsett, and Rickey Watters all share the same birthday - April 7th

- Only 6 RB's have accomplished this feat multiple times (Walter Payton did it 3 times)

And my personal favorite...

- Talk about being late bloomers! John Riggins is one of only 5 RB's in the history of the NFL to accomplish this feat twice, but that's not the amazing part. Not only does he hold the top 2 records for oldest to run 300+ times, but he had never done it before. In a strange coincidence, Lamar Smith is one of the other 5 RB's in the history of the NFL to accomplish this feat twice. For Lamar, his highest carry total previous to turning 30 was only 153 carries.
