Overlooked Waiver Wire Gem?: Dallas defense (1 Viewer)

I know that the two games vs Philly this week and in week 17 are not good match ups. But Dallas will face two very bad offenses when they play the Redskins at home in week 15 and the Cardinals away in week 16.

Can anyone who is very familiar with the Cowboys please comment on how well their defense is likely to play in weeks 15 and 16?

Note: I've been using the NYG and NO Saints defenses most of the season but I'm VERY tempted to drop the saints D to pick up Dallas's D ASAP.. before someone in my league beats me to it. If you're familiar with the Saints and want to comment on this idea, I'd appreciate hearing your thoughts...

Saints play at Baltimore week 15, at Atlanta week 16 and home vs TB in week 17.

(Giants play at home vs Philly week 15, at GB week 16 and at Washington week 17.)

 
I cannot say that I am familiar with thier defense but I grabbed them 2 weeks ago based on these matchups. I haven't seen many teams with better matchups for weeks 15-16. Even ones that are on teams but definitely the best pick off of our WW. Hopefully they are playing for pride and to secure Jason Garrett's job.

 
Being a DFW resident, it's quite obvious to see just how improved this defense has been over the past 4 weeks. Very opportunistic, and while the secondary is still giving up a lot of yardage, they've become aggressive and forced eight interceptions and three fumbles since Garrett took over the head job. Despite giving up 35 points to the Colts, they still managed 13 fantasy points in most of my leagues. Probably fair game to say that the 2nd half Cowboys are a lot like the Saints defense of last year.

They're a lock on my roster for championship week 16, when they play the Cardinals. Might as well start them next week against Washington as well, depending on how dead the Redskins look against the Bucs.

 
I also liked getting a nice 2 game package out of one defense instead of scrambling after each weekend to get a new one. they will be $$$

 
One thing I'm worried about is that Dallas may start to play a lot of its young players on D to see what they can do... Now that they're out of the playoff race... But, then, again... I imagine that Garrett would like to see the team do well so he can try to hold on the HC job...

 
Also:

Buehler makes for a pretty nice kicker pickup for those same Week 15-16 games.

I've already bought in to the Cowboys DST; added them and will plug them in hopefully.

I really like them in week 16 against Arizona. I'm not quite as sold with week 15 against the Redskins. A good matchup, but McNabb and Co. can put up some numbers at times.

 
I'm a little worried... not much, but a little... about their match up vs the Redskins...

Can any Dallas homers or others who are very familiar with the cowboys comment on how well the Dallas D is playing right now?

Grabbed the Cowboys a few weeks ago for this Week in particular. My top defense (CHI) hasn't been lighting it up lately - thanks to NE and such.

Tough call this week for me on def/st.

Rolling the dice on Dallas this week. I picked them up for this matchup and they will likely force some turnovers and get some sacks.
 
Had the foresight to get Dallas & NE for weeks 14-16.

New England has been unreal the last 3 weeks but I'm not digging @ Buffalo as much as I'm liking Dallas @ Arizona with the circumstances there.

 
I had dropped the TB DEF/ST for Dallas last week for this exact reason. Hopefully Dallas can get me a TD or two against Arizona this week...

 
Dallas may get a couple turnovers and a couple sacks. But they've been giving up almost 30 points per game. Even under Garrett. Even to a Washington team that had been averaging about 16 per game. They are really playing poor football on that side of things.

They are so bad, they are on track to set a franchise record for most points against in a season. They've been that bad.
