Owens responded to McNabbs comment

McNabb called his book a children's book. Here's TO's response.

"That must be why he enjoyed it," said Owens on McNabb's comments that his recent autobiography, "T.O.", was a "children's book." Owens then added "I was thinking of him when Jason and I were drafting it. We wanted those who scored 14 on their Wonderlic to be able to enjoy it too."

There was an awesome quote by Dave Kindred in last weeks' "Sporting News."

"With his new book, T.O., Terrell Owens has built an insurmountable lead over Winston Churchill in autobiographies, 2-1"

It will end when McNabb starts ignoring him and TO turns his attention elsewhere. As long as McNabb answers questions about TO, it will never end because TO absolutely must have the last childish and obnoxious word.

We wanted those who scored 14 on their Wonderlic to be able to enjoy it too."
:lmao: Of course, this begs the question of what Owens scored on his Wonderlic, but it still a hilarious nevertheless.Personally, I hope this never ends. :D

Exactly. TO is always going to want to say the last word. McNabb should just let it go.

Owens is going out of his way to rip McNabb in every media outlet possible. I think I actually saw a clip of him on a Canadian sports station taking digs the other day. He's basically on a tour to promote his book.

Just a question. Why is TO's comments "childish and obnoxious," but McNabb's isn't?

So wait a minute. When Owens says something about McNabb, and McNabb responds, the headline is "Owens is a jerk". But when McNabb says something about Owens, and Owens responds, the headline is "Owens is a jerk".

Well, let me say it. McNabb is kind of being a jerk, too.

You didn't say it, but we all know you can say something without actually saying it. You implied it by having a negative connotation against TO and not having one against McNabb.

You can read into anything you want any way you want. But you would still be wrong.

eventually this will evolve to a WWE type situation.. to thinkVinny McMahon, may have been ahead of his time..

TELL ME, Mama's BOY... WHAT ARE YOU GONNA DO, WHEN TO, signs a ball with a sharpie??

I loved the quote. I suspect that TO's Wonderlic is a bit higher. I think he is fairly smart (relatively speaking). The problem with TO is that he lacks common sense and he also lacks judgment. The combination causes a lot of problems.

McNabb cannot be a jerk becuase what we've had here is a little social concern in the NFL. The media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well. They're interested in black coaches and black quarterbacks doing well. McNabb got a lot of the credit for the performance of the team that he really didn't deserve.:rush:

I think people give him the benefit of the doubt because Owens has gone out of his way to publicly bash McNabb every chance he's gotten since the Super Bowl loss. This isn't even the first QB Owens has taken to verbally lashing out at. He did the same thing with Garcia after he left SF and he'll probably bash Bledsoe after he leaves Dallas as well. He'd probably bash Johnny Unitas or Dan Marino in a book if he felt he didn't get enough touches.McNabb may have been able to handle the criticism better, but why should he have to put up with this BS? If they had personal disagreements there was no reason for Owens to air their dirty laundry other than the fact that he is an attention whore. He shouldn't be surprised that the team would support their all-star QB as he'd certainly be tons more difficult to replace than an all-star WR. An Eagles team with McNabb and no Owens made the NFC championship 3 straight years while an Eagles team with Owens and no McNabb would not have made the playoffs. Of course McNabbs numbers went up with Owens, he had a bunch of scrubs before that. If you replace that WR corp with even a decent set of receivers then his numbers would have been close to as good solid.

Why would TO want it to die? It helps him sell books...

McNabb is the idiot here in keeping it in the media spotlight...

Oops!!!! T.O. scored a 13. Guess people with a 13 are just like those with a 14 but without the intelligence to know when to shut up! If you read far enough into this article it has TO's wonderlic score:

I'll say that both comments were pretty childish, but I'm a lot more forgiving of McNabb because it's the first negative thing he's ever said about Owens. He didn't say a single negative comment when they were teammates, he didn't say anything through the trade. If I were McNabb, I don't know if I could have excercised that sort of self-control. I feel like, after all of that crap that he's taken from TO, he's allowed a snarky comment or two.

:goodposting: T.O. will never shut up.

#1 because he is T.O.

#2 he's got a book to sell

I agree that McNabb has shown great restraint in no responding before this, but the best revenge would be to not say anything...maybe this $h!t would finally die down and keep both T.O. and his book out of the news.

We all know that McNabb is more articulate than Owens. But when he says, "I don't have to particularly like an individual" to play football with them, and when asked about whether Owens should apologize for his comments, he says, "I particularly don't want a private moment" with Owens, he's not really taking the high road. When he refers to Owens' comment about Favre as "black on black crime", when Owens - and I firmly believe this - did not criticize McNabb in that interview, that's snarky enough.

When McNabb refused to say Owens' name in training camp press conferences last year, and when asked about his receivers, referred to Brian Westbrook as the ultimate weapon, he was taking the high road in words only, and he certainly wasn't extending an olive branch.

Just because McNabb plays the media game better than Owens, doesn't mean he hasn't taken shots at Owens in the media.
