No Greg Jennings tonight?
Not sure he played at all but he wasn't injured. He's been complaining a lot about nobody throwing him the ball. Not sure he's running the right routes are not but Favre said a week ago that Driver was the only WR he trusted right now but that was last week. I know Driver was yelling at Jennings a lot last year after the play for doing something wrong. Not sure whats going on but he better get his act together fast or he's going to be playing the slot.Next week is the pivotal game when the start play a full half. If we don't see him then I'd start to get worried.
he played, just got NO looks from Farve. I'm smelling a 1yr wonder. (okay, 5 week wonder)

Apparently Willie Wood was a guest speaker to the team this week and he told the Packers that they need to take back Lambeau field. Kind of cool.
Brand new field with an 8 inch drop in the center (reduced from 14" to 5" I think). It should feel totally different. Its got to be weird running a route over the middle with a 14 inch crown. Running up hill and then it drop away. The defense sure seems to like it.

He was targeted in the end zone on a pass from Favre but it was off target.

Nah. He's for real BUT if your not where your supposed to be and the QB gets intercepted they are going to look to other receivers. Not sure if he's getting pushed off his routes or what. He runs great routes in practice.

Correct if I'm wrong but the main things learned from this game (in the preseason mind you) is that:

Brandon Jackson looked good- All but assuring himself the starting rb spot for the Packers

James Jones looked good- lock for 3rd wide receiver but also a possible threat to Jennings

Seattle's offensive line looked bad- missing both starting tackles but pretty bad regardless

Anything I missed?

I think people need to come to terms with the fact that almost every offensive line suffers injuries during the season and team won't have their 5 starters very often. Seattle's line obviously seriously lacks depth and this could be a huge detriment to the team's collective fantasy production.

On the other hand, Green Bay has terrific depth at most position but lacks in a few places at the starter spots. They have several safeties that would be good backups, but might not be starter material. The Packers tight ends are weak and therefore James Jones (or Jennings as it were) might see a lot of action in the slot.

Things you missedBrandon Jackson - 4.2 yard avg. on 13 carries. Good, but this was preseason. There was no one else to play. Lots of injuries to pack RB. He still has to prove to me he can pick up the blitz.Packers are going to lead the league in sacks - #2 last year(?), and this year to date they show no signs of letting up. There will be a few pack d line on peoples IDP teams. Packers secondary looked better than last year - but it was against the seagirls 3rd string. They have to prove themselves still.Having said that, if the pack D is back, the pack will win alot of games. Getting two def TD and great postion makes it easy to win games. If the Packers develop a 3rd lb and some secondary to help their two all pros....re: Jennings - he should end up like about like last year - about 45 catches, 6td. Jones will get some, but Farve will still lock up on Driver and ignore the other WR. None of the beat writers think Jones has any shot of replacing Jennings (at least they have not said so)Franks had 4 catches - but i want to see another game or two before I believe that the Packers have an NFL quality TE. They are still signing undrafted rookie FA from division 3 colleges hoping they will do something. Packer Kickers are draftable. Raynor ended up 10th, 13th, something like that last year, and within 10 pts of the 5th place kicker or so. He looks much improved, and Crosby may beat him out. Strong Defense, good field position - Whomever is the Packer Kicker will end up in the top 5 of scoring, and you can draft him after 10 kickers are off the board. Of course, you might have to draft both.....Aaron Rogers is an NFL quarterback. He is likely never to be a Bret Farve, but he is good enough to win games and put up numbers. Not draftable in redrafts, but if Farve goes down, I would be looking to snap Rogers up.

Things you missed-Favre threw 3500 yards to players other than Driver last year. Jennings was on a sprained ankle last year but you think his numbers will be the same? There is room for 3 good WR's. As for 3rd string that's wrong too. They went against the 2nd string tackles, QB and Branch's backup and DJ Hackett. Shaun Alexander, the center and guards were starters. Starting SS is a bigger concern.Otherwise I agree with you.

You're reading way too much into a meaningless preseason game. Yes, the Packers have a lot of a talent on the d-line but you have to take into account how woeful the Seahawks offensive line play was last night. Tom Ashworth (who filled in for Walter Jones at LT) is absolutely terrible. He was responsible for two sacks, and was a liability in the running game as well. I doubt Jenkins and KGB will face a LT that inept for the rest of the season (if ever). A few of the other sacks came against over-matched/inexperienced reserves in the backfield like FB Leonard Weaver and RB Marquis Weeks. If you look back to last November when the Seahawks played the Packers on Monday night, a Packers defense with very similar personnel registered just one sack.

As for your prediction that the Packers are going to lead the league in sacks, I'd say you're getting carried away. They were 4th in the NFL last year, which is very good...But their 46 sack season wasn't even remotely close to the Chargers and Ravens who registered 61 and 60 sacks respectively.

Seattle's offensive line was bad BECAUSE they were missing their two starting tackles. HTH
