Pacman troubles continue (1 Viewer)

Titans coach Jeff Fisher confirmed that the team is looking into an apparent weekend altercation between suspended CB Pacman Jones and injured DT Albert Haynesworth

The incident allegedly took place in Nashville prior the Titans departing for Denver, though a police spokesman said no altercation was reported, but they would look into the matter. Haynesworth made the trip, but was ultimately ruled inactive, while Jones continues to serve his one-year suspension. This won't help Jones' chances of returning to the team.

I don't think this guy will ever get a clue. Not that Haynesworth is a saint either. Both of these guys should be banned for good. Thoughts?

I think bannings are unnecessary and are used only to appease the simpleminded.
So you would just let them do basically whatever they want? These guys get paid millions to play a game for a living. This has nothing to do with being simpleminded. This just goes to show that celebrities and sports athletes can get away with just about anything.

I didn't even think he was allowed around the team while he was suspended.

Pacman truly has to be nuts to get into it with Haynesworth. That's one big dude.

I don't think anybody should do whatever they want, including pro football players. We have systems in place to handle misbehavior. But I have no interest in mixing off field behavior with on field behavior.

Both of these guys should be banned for good.
What should Albert Haynesworth be "banned for good" for?
He stepped on a player's face last year during a game. Do you follow football?
I'm a Titans fan, ironically enough. I was wondering if that - which he already served 8 games for, followed by plenty of apologizing and groveling - was the only thing. Apparently, the 8 game suspension wasn't good enough for you?

Nobody has a clue what the altercation is...yet they should both be banned for good and they guy will never get a clue?I agree Pac has his issues off the field. Not defending that. But we here altercation and automatically think the worst. The police even state they have no report of anything. This could be as much as a reporter seeing the two jawing for some reason and thats it.

You don't even know what happened...so how does that mean they can do whatever they want? :lmao:

He is allowed to be there once a week to get treatment and meet with the team to discuss what he has done in his time off.

No, he served his time. If he did get into a fight with Pacman, that is stupid all around. Wasn't sure if your question was asked ironically or using the quotes sarcastically.

I'd be willing to bet that Pacman was the one who started it. With that being said, I can see people getting fired up because football is an emotional game. What I cannot accept is grown men acting like 10 year olds. They are paid to play PROFESSIONAL sports, so act like professionals. I commend the commish for trying to clean up the league.

Started what?A supposed altercation to which there were no police reports and the team has not even said what happened yet?So if you have a disagreement with a coworker you should be banned?

LOL, that's great. So in one of his 12 visits during the year he gets into a fight with the teams best player. You can't make this stuff up. They seriously need a film crew following him around until he's finally put in jail.

 I guess I just don't see why people defend these guys.

I'm not defending him. What they allegedly did was stupid, perhaps laughably so. But there's no need to connect that to his appearance in a Titans uniform unless you really want to. I don't really care to. Most people do.

Do you see why people question initial reports that are sketchy on details? Some people jump right on a report that confirms their feelings about a player; sometimes they use it to make whatever moralistic point they want to make. But some early, sketchy reports aren't true, you know? Chris Henry, for example, has supposedly "been in trouble again" 4 different times since his supension. None of those incidents, after further information became available, turned out to be any kind of trouble he was in. That didn't stop some people from jumping right on the initial reports, however, to say the reports confirmed their feelings about Henry.Do you see why some people wait before drawing conclusions?

a guy at my work hangs out with a lot of the titan players and supposedly there was a party Saturday night where pac and albert got into an arguement.

pac hit albert then pushed him over a railing (it was close to the ground... not 6-12 stories) and then pac took off running.

I had no idea.As a Brown's fan, I have another reason to despise you. And of course, I hope your team keeps losing.

Haynesworth had a HUGE fat lip last night....my buddy actually called me joking about it.

Guess this may explain some of it.

Link to him getting in a fight or what really happened?Apparently "you" and others can make stuff up as none of us have a clue what happened yet.

I was not aware I defended any of his actual actions. All I have claimed is that none of us know what in the hell happened but people assumed there was an actual fist fight. :hot:

Sounds like a great PPV pro wrestling event set up.

A cool David and Goliath kind of thing. Except in this case both Goliath AND David are complete A-holes.
