Panthers are the real deal (1 Viewer)

Today was an EXTREMELY impressive win. Without their best player, they travel to SD, and win. A few observations for those that didn't watch the game.

1. The offensive line has been completely revamped, and was creating great space ALL day. Both DeAngelo and Stewart are going to have big years. I think we'll see both run for over 1000 yards. Yep, both of them.

2. Delhomme is 100% healthy. All the local interviews here said his arm actually looked stronger after this surgery. Its true. Just look at the game winning TD. It was Favre like.

3. The D has also improved. When is the last time a healthy LT didn't have at least 1 TD? Peppers looked great all preseason, Davis looks better better in his new position, and they have pretty solid depth in the secondary.

4. Delhomme will have multiple weapons to throw to, which just opens up things even more for Smitty when he returns. Don't laugh, but Jarred made two very nice catches. Moose is always serviceable, and Hackett made several big plays. But Rosario is the wild card and could be very special. The Panthers haven't had a great TE since Wesley Walls. He's got size, hands, and speed.

5. Smith is gonna come back PISSED, and probably score you 25-30 points week 3, just write it down now.

Panthers fans, you're gonna have a fun year.

On a related note, it appears as though the Titans and Cardinals are going to go undefeated this year.

I hope so, but I hate threads like this. It's nice to be excited, but it's very premature to be saying "Super Bowl" bound. Atlanta looked great today. The Bucs and Saints fought a hard game down to the wire. We have improved this year, but so have our division rivals. Let's take it one game at a time.

You don't think is all premature?I actually like the Panthers chances to rebound, but it is also possible that the Chargers have been Norv Turner'd.
