Parcells draft special (1 Viewer)

Ugh. Have it on the DVR. Was planning to stay up to watch it tonight. Crap ?

I started watching it after it had started, can someone describe his logic behind his tiers? Was it just opinion or what round(s) he thought a player would go in?

Surprised by the negative comments. I thought it was fairly interesting and offered a better perspective on how the teams might be grading the players.

I think this was geared to a group of fans not quite as -- obsessive :) -- as the folks on these boards.

For us things like how a board is constructed, or the revelation that each team's board may be quite different than the consensus we see in mocks, is not new news. But for the less "enthusiastic" fan, that kind of thing may have been informative?

As a minor hijack, some of the strangest TV out there right now is watching Bill Polian share time with Hugh Douglas and Marcellus Wiley on draft evaluation.

"That is a great point Bill, but we have to cut you off so we make sure we have time to hear what Hugh and Dat Dude have to say about this draft prospect."

Really? Who thought that was a good idea?

I am surprised too; I thought he had some great insights into what he thought made a good pick. Parcell's outline of what he needed to draft a QB was interesting.

Was it that same analysis he had from a few years ago where if he would have followed his own advice, he would have wound up with Mirer instead of Bledsoe?Must be a senior, must have a high comp %, and so on?

It was along those lines. I could see his logic for a first round draft pick and how not to get burned on that pick; I think it was useful from a dynasty perspective.
