Parker Swelling in his Knee (1 Viewer)

Parker missed his second straight day of practice with swelling and soreness in his left knee. He will not play in the Steelers' exhibition game on Sunday, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette reports. The Steelers aren't overly concerne

I said it in the "FWP will get all carries" thread how I expect FWP to break down if he does not get some other RB helping him out....he is not that big.....this was bound to happen

Let's not get too excited here, it's just a sore knee. Why not take every precaution possible in the preseason? I see this as a purely precautoinary move predicated by the coaching staff's confidence in Parker as an every-down back.

So it is ok to get excited over Portis's tendinitis in his knee (which led to some swelling) but to not get excited over FWP?

Ummm.... ok

Portis has a history of injuries plus the tendinitis in his knee is nothing new it s been like that since last season ( They tought it had healed since then but nope ) so that s a good reason to get excited about Portis injury and not FWP.

The Steelers are practicing harder and longer than any team in camp right now. Portis has lingering injuries from last season, Parker is healthy.

So you're saying the Steelers should have had another RB help out FWP in camp  Parker is fine. The Steelers know what tehy have in FWP and they aren't going to push it, especially when they hav so many other backs in camp they need to look at.

Ummm... isn't the point of this thread that FWP is NOT healthy?
http://www.nfl.com/teams/story/PIT/10277229Its just sore knees, read the report. If you took all the carries in camp, your knees would probably be sore too. Kinda like last night perhaps? Thats all I was saying
Classy. I was replying to a post in this thread saying he was injured, and your retort saying he's not. I've never reported any post before - you're the first.

The Steelers started full camp earlier then anyone.

The Steelers started full contact from get go.

The Steelers have more two-a-days scheduled then any other team.

The Steelers play an extra preseason game.

Having the player who had 368 touches remain rested seems prudent.

And you cant allow him time off without naming an injury of some sort, or it can upset things.

Overall, I'm happy that they will limit his exposure in the preseason.

I'll wait for an actual negative medical finding (beyond slight soreness) before I adjust his status.

They were the first to be fully in camp. They were the first to have full contact. They have the most two-a-days. None of which is up for dispute.

He should be banned for that comment. No reason for such smut in the Shark Pool or any other FBGs forum.
