I would agree. I'd be surprised if they passed up Ryan in favor of McKelvin.I honestly believe if Gholston,Long & McFadden are off the board the Jets take Ryan.
I agree as well. KC might not be willing to drop back if they think there is any chance NYJ take Ryan. That said, I honestly believe the Raiders will take Gholston. I know Al Davis might be in love with McFadden but the smart choice here is Gholston. He fits everything they are trying to do on defense.I also think if Stewart or Mendenhal are on the board when the Panthers pick, they will grab one of them. Chicago might go for the local kid Mendenhal as well.I also wouldn't put it past Denver to take one of those backs. I cannot believe Shanny is content with a Young/Henry backfield. You throw Stewart or Mendehal in that backfield and use Young as a change of pace.I would agree. Mayo does seem to be all over the map. Many Mocks though didn't have him in the first round up to a few weeks ago. I have him going in the 25-35 picks of the draft.I like the Pats trading up to get Gholston, but I still think they are going to trade down with either the Saints or Broncos and get a CB. It is not because I think the Patriots don't love a player like Gholston, but I think it is more about the money those top picks cost to sign. If you can move back, and still get a player you were targeting, you pull the trigger.I love the drafting power KC has in this draft...it will be fun to watch KC and Atlanta too! I still do not see how KC could pass on Ryan, but Gil Brandt was saying there is no way they are going QB (his source was the owners mother! lol) I know some think he is not a franchise QB, but it was noted on sirius that there will not be a franchise type QB in next years draft either. I think he could be a good fit in KC. I had KC keeping the 5th pick and drafting Ryan, but trading the 17th pick with the Bills. Chiefs end up with OG Branden Albert, Bills still end up with WR Devin Thomas.I still think the Chargers trade out of the first round...I like Atlanta trading back into the round.Mayo seems to be a kid who's value is all over the map. I've seen him as going anywhere from top 10 all the way to 29 in this mock from Kirwan.
Branden Albert all day.I don't think the pats want anything to do with Gholston.
I hope they don't. Too much "boom or bust" for my liking.I don't think the pats want anything to do with Gholston.
I don't believe that Gholston is a traditional boom or bust type player. Yes he may not become the next Merriman, but I believe his floor will still be a solid starter. He has a ton more talent than Vrabel and look how the coaching staff puts him in great situations to make plays.I hope they don't. Too much "boom or bust" for my liking.I don't think the pats want anything to do with Gholston.
I agree with you on Gholston, and I agree with that matsuki guy in your sig as well.I don't believe that Gholston is a traditional boom or bust type player. BB has called Vrabel the smartest player he has ever coached so it's not just about talent and a coaching staff putting a player in a position to make plays. What's inbetween the ears matters as well.I don't believe that Gholston is a traditional boom or bust type player. Yes he may not become the next Merriman, but I believe his floor will still be a solid starter. I don't see the versatility in Gholston as there is in Vrabel.I don't believe that Gholston is a traditional boom or bust type player.
