Buried on the Miami Dolphins' quarterback depth chart behind Chad Henne, Chad Pennington and Tyler Thigpen, former second-round draft pick Pat White has struggled to create a niche in the NFL after a prolific career at West Virginia.
He played in 13 games last season, going 0 for 5 as a passer and rushing for 81 yards.
It's early, though, in his career.
And there has been progress this offseason, judging from the comments of Dolphins coach Tony Sparano.
Plus, White got some support recently from running back Ricky Williams.
Williams thinks that White has what it takes to play in the NFL.
"Pat White, no question, is our most improved player," Williams told the Miami Herald. "He's a quarterback now."
