**Patriots at Jets** (+2.5, 36) 1:00 (1 Viewer)

So does BB take away the run or does he take away Garrett Wilson?
BB takes away the run and lets Z Wilson take away G Wilson

That is a dead-on analysis!

Only week 3 but this is the biggest game of the year for the Pats...off to a dicey start at 0-2...not unexpected but the offensive futility and line play is pretty discouraging...if the Pats lose to Zack Wilson (I say Zack Wilson because the rest of the Jets are a good team) that probably means they could not score 20 points and with a trip to Dallas next week that means an 0-4 start is on the horizon and it also means things will be getting red-hot in negativity down in Foxboro and the BB supporters will be out of excuses...win this and they go 1-3 (which the realists had them down for) with some winnable games coming up so they can calm things down...my guess is there will be one or two defensive TDs scored today and that could be the difference...Pats think they have a big-time defense and today is a great opportunity to prove it.

Honestly see Bill bringing just a little pressure and playing one of those confusing zones in the secondary that Zach Wilson hasn't figured out either time they've played.

I hope at least this time Zach isn't missing bunnies (easy throws) that were giving him fits in prior games against NE. That'll go a long way towards helping. First reads. Get the ball out quick before the coverages have chances to develop their intricacies.

Maybe then the Jets stand a chance.

I know people want to see the ball pushed down the field, but I can't imagine that the Jets will have Zach standing back there to get swallowed up by the rush with that line. The more you can take the ball out of his hands and have him make fewer decisions, the better off the Jets are.

Lots of RB and WR screens with pass plays operating off of those concepts.

If I was the Jets I would sign Tommy Frazier and Mike Rozier and play the wishbone with those two, Brees Hall and Dalvin Cook.

What’s the expected weather for this one? I heard potential for heavy rain and windy, but the forecast has changed a few times already.

Rainy day at The Meadowlands? If The Jets hand the ball to Hall and Cook more than they let quarterback Wilson throw it,they win imop.
If The Jets defense bottles up The Patriots run game and forces quarterback Jones to throw all day into their secondary,The Jets win imop.
If Darth Bill takes away that Jets running game and forces quarterback Wilson to beat him,he won't and The Patriots win imop.
I think the defenses will decide this one,one or two or three big plays,so...

New York/New Jersey- 23
New England- 20

Looks like slight rain and wind around 16-18 MPH from the Northeast there, little camper buddy. That's from 1 PM, with rain tapering off at 3:00 or so PM and then restarting around 4 PM.

Hoping for a 2-0 classic match.

Although in a league where I’m out ekeler, Barkley, kupp and Diontae against the best team in the league I need Garrett to have a big game. :bag:

If the Jets could take out the Patriots today and go 2-1
You would actually hear media hype them as playoff team and continue the charade most of the week.

If they lose and drop to 1-2, you start hearing about what are they really playing for in 2023, that's the up and down of being a Jets fan right now

Stupid is only as stupid as the front office does. I don't really care what the media says, I'd rather see our front office handle the situation appropriately than worry about what the media is saying about it. I truly hope they've done their due diligence on quarterbacks throughout the NFL and are willing to pull the trigger on a Winston or similar QB should the price be right. But the price has to be right and they have to work in fairly seamlessly to the team.

Tall order. Because it's all about the quarterback. That was the piece of the puzzle that needed settling. I have a hard time imagining Wilson as any better than he was last year. Whatever newfound confidence he has from a few good reps behind Rodgers is coming under stern test from Moby **** on the New England sidelines, and I'm afraid we're plunging our shipmates and crew into turbulent waters on a ship set to be stove by a whale in the Meadowlands today.

tippmann showed flashes in the preseason at C, mobile and getting to the LBs. that said, bad weather, bad qb, bad matchup.

tidbit: jets haven’t had a roughing the passer penalty in favor of them in 22 straight games. they have been flagged 8 or 9 times in this same period.

patriots - 19
jets - 4

Remember in the Big Lebowski when Maude asks Jeffrey to get a medical check-up and to make it thorough.

That was thorough right there.

The schedule did the Jets no favors, with Wilson's first two starts this year being against Dallas and Belichick, but Wilson is terrible. There is no way the Jets can honestly say they are still trying to win if they keep starting him. They have to do something to get a veteran in there who at least gives them a fighting chance.

jets continue to think they are a first class organization, even with green and white paint leaking all over the field. i mean, there is a reason there is no home field advantage.
