Breaking news: sources tell @FOXSports the NFL has zeroed in on a locker room attendant w Patriots who allegedly took balls from officials locker room to another area on way to field. Sources say they have interviewed him and additionally have video. Still gauging if any wrong doing occurred with him but he is strong person of interest
"We aren't saying the Patriots did anything wrong, but if they did, it may or may not have been this guy."

Harbaugh has to be laughing his a*s off:

-Not only did he use Tucker's complaint to get most of this going (there were other drivers too of course),

-but at the same time....he is singing the praise of Belichick to the point where the press actually believes he is on Belichick's side.

*genius*...though I bet BB sees right through it. If we can see through it, BB can too

At this point, whether things are proven or not, Brady rues the day when he told the Ravens, "Maybe they should read the rule book".

Neil de Grasse Tyson said that for BB's explanation to work for an effective 15% decrease in air pressure that game balls would have to have been filled with 125 degree temperature air.

Yeah Harbaugh's a genius. You didn't even mention the most brilliant part - getting eliminated in the first round so he had the time to set all this up. Diabolical.

Obviously, he either is from Seattle, or is just another salty hater. Anyone who would dare think that Saint Bellichick would dare to do anything wrong cannot be trusted. Especially after he said he didnt. Here is his blasphemous tweet:

He didn't blame it on only a change in temperature. He blamed it on ways they prepare the ball and how air escapes from an animal skin structure anyway.

Man, really amazing how Bill Belichick is owning all of the science guys.

Stick to the stars, Tyson.

NDT is an idiot, however. He's only looking at temperature changes.

From Wikipedia:

"Neil deGrasse Tyson (/ˈnəl dəˈɡræs ˈtsən/; born October 5, 1958) is an American astrophysicist, cosmologist, author, and science communicator. He is currently the Frederick P. Rose Director of the Hayden Planetariumat the Rose Center for Earth and Space and a research associate in the department of astrophysics at the American Museum of Natural History. "

But since you think he is an idiot, lets just ignore all of that. Salty Hater for sure!

Wikipedia is a known Steelers fan. Get serious, guy.

I bet the equipment guy just decided on his own to lower the psi in the footballs. Of course Brady had nothing to do with it.

Draft picks + suspension for Brady (effective next season) upcoming.

Wicked-pedia...sound pretty Bostonian to me. ;)

the Ravens won their first game. They beat the Steelers

You must be thinking of when the Ravens beat the Patriots in their first game up in Foxboro a few years ago. The one where Rice had that 70 yd TD to start the game.

Still think there's another shoe to drop.

The NFL doesn't do this whole thing in the first place unless they already had some evidence IMO. Not like Jim Irsay was going to go to Goodell with some wild story about deflated footballs and get any satisfaction.

I love how the league is releasing a statement saying the investigation will take several more weeks, everyone should not jump to any conclusions AND everyone involved should not comment about the incident as the league itself is leaking out details.

No, I have a pretty good grasp of how time works and that was several years and two Patriots playoff wins over the Ravens ago.

Pro Football Talks comments are pretty funny:

  • Colonel Mustard in the equipment locker with a needle.
  • Brady ordered the code red.
  • Is the Patriot attendant in the video wearing Uggs?
  • The locker room attendant is probably being water boarded as we speak.
  • We have no official comment, unofficially we will leak information at our discretion.

It's like Clue.

"it was the Assistant Locker Room attendant in the auxiliary maintenance room with a needle."
first suspect is always a red herring

it's like you've never watched scooby-doo
Wait until they rip the rubber mask off of the locker room attendant to reveal it was Trent Richardson seeking revenge on the Colts for suspending him for the game.
:lmao:

no, they probably just found a job for him

that timely suspension was pretty suspicious

and he would've gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for you meddling posters

I know exactly who he is. He's a first class self promoter that was making up quotes he claimed to have heard GW Bush make that he himself was making up in order to promote himself. http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/volokh-conspiracy/wp/2014/09/22/does-neil-degrasse-tyson-make-up-stories/

And regardless, arguments from authority dont mean much. Its been well established that temperature is only 1 component. NDT is just the type of jack ### that would jump right in without giving it any real thought.

Pretty sure this whole thread repeats itself every 10 pages or so. It's like putting those numbers in the computer on "Lost".
Plus we've move on to speculating how Favre's consecutive games record is a sham. We havent figured out how DiMaggio was cheating yet, but he cant get away with it forever.

So after a week and 40 interviews they have "zeroed in" on the guy who had access to the balls? That's some fine police work Lou.

Has Glazer defined "another area on the way to field" yet?

The ####### hallway is on the way to the field, I realize its twitter but #### could you be more vague?

Two things strike me in this newest twist-

1) By the rules, "the balls shall remain under the supervision of the Referee until they are delivered to the ball attendant just prior to the start of the game". Was the guy in question the 'ball attendant'? The rules dont say, but the inference is that the balls would be delivered on the field. It kinda defeats the entire purpose of the refs having custody of the balls for some dude from a team to go walking off with them in th bowels of their building. But maybe hindsight is 20/20.

2) I always assumed Gillete Stadium had a room with no cameras in it. I just assumed it was used for something more interesting than tampering with footballs. That attendant is probably in that room right now.

Pats just landed in AZ. Supposedly the planes tire pressure was down upon arrival and that flight attendants are being interviewed.

More leaks at 7.

Obviously. Brady was just the innocent ball tester for the intense BB science experiment.

This doesn't sound good.

They need to save any bad news for after strong Superbowl ratings.
