I understood you were being sarcastic, I was just using your statement about that Steelers and signals as a jumping in point.parrot said:From the ESPN article:yabahos said:Maybe in the end it paid off for Cowher and the Steelers because they ended up winning the Superbowl in 2006. Maybe they decided to start changing their signals.
https://youtu.be/HCwOPhsMScM?t=10m39sSome of the Steelers' defensive coaches remain convinced that a deep touchdown pass from Brady to Deion Branch in the January 2005 AFC Championship Game, which was won by the Patriots 41-27, came from stolen signals because Pittsburgh hadn't changed its signals all year, sources say, and the two teams had played a game in the regular season that Walsh told investigators he believes was taped. "They knew the signals, so they knew when it went in what the coverage was and how to attack it," says a former Steelers coach.
So Polamalu bites on the underneath route - even though, by his own teammate and coach's admission, he is supposed to be giving deep help - Brady reads it and hits Branch RIGHT WHERE TROY IS SUPPOSED TO BE, but the Pats must have cheated. Talk about your salt.Farrior: "Shea thought he had post help?"
Coach: "He does..."
Farrior: "Where the hell was he?"![]()

You might want to go back and read my posts. Basically started off by saying the Steelers were idiots for running the same set of signals for an entire season, hearing allegations that NE tapes signals, and then still rolling out the same old signals for the AFC Championship game. Essentially, they got what they deserved.
Exactly, this is what the rest of us are saying. Just play mano-a-mano for once without all the shenanigans and cheating. Its not that hard to do.Exactly, win the game on the field... it's hard to do.Just more excuses. The only thing suspect about those 4 SB wins is the integrity of the losers making excuses and baseless cheating accusations. There's no shame in losing, until you start making excuses.JIslander said:Dominant? 4 SB championships since 2002 which could have easily been 6 SB wins, yet the Patriots lost to the Giants in 2008 and 2012 by a total of 7 combined points and what amounts to, basically, one freakish play in each of those 2 games.
I don't care what division a team is in...there's nothing "cake" about it.

The catch that got them in range was unreal. Seahawks were dead in the water prior to that. And to the person who said the Seahawks/Pats Superbowl (and I assume the outcome) was suspect: no it wasn't. The Patriots won on a fantastic play that was probably lower probability than a coin toss for them to execute perfectly. That wasn't the result of inflated balls, video tapes, or the Madden curse or anything. It was just great football that I happened to be on the opposite side of. Had that gone the other way I suspect it would have been "the cheating Seahawks and their PEDs" instead I guess.
Why be hypothetical when we already know how the Patriots, their fans and the league really reacted when they got cheated on a game, months before spygate?Ok Pats fans, let's say tonight I break into Belichick's house and steal a playbook he left in his home and hand it over to every one of their opponents for the 2015 season. In addition to this I'm going to video tape their defensive calls and offensive audibles and send them to t he same teams. Let's also add I'm going to pump up Brady's footballs to the maximum allowable PSI and the opponent's balls to whatever they desire.
Fair?
Well if we assumed everything that has been claimed about the pats over the years were true, even not doing that knowing how sensitive everyone, the league, the fans, everyone is to NE these days...they aren't stupid. They realize that would set off a firestorm for the league, and make themselves look like the ultimate hypocrite. That wouldn't have been an option for the pats to demand an investigation into cheating allegations against other team. Why be hypothetical when we already know how the Patriots, their fans and the league really reacted when they got cheated on a game, months before spygate? The league did nothing, Belichick didn't complain and blamed his own team's execution, and in retrospect it probably cost them a superbowl but the fans barely mentioned it. No owners demanded an investigation, no make up calls were given, and no rules were changed.Ok Pats fans, let's say tonight I break into Belichick's house and steal a playbook he left in his home and hand it over to every one of their opponents for the 2015 season. No, none of the sources of any of these allegations are named.Has anyone answered my question as to why the oposing coaches who allegedly planted fake playbooks for the Pats to steal didn't videotape it?
yeah, the ineptitude is unbelievable, right? that these coaches didn't spend the extra time (which I'm sure they readily had) to stage cameras to catch the Patriots whom, because of their systematic cheating system already had time allotted for such things...is beyond me.Has anyone answered my question as to why the oposing coaches who allegedly planted fake playbooks for the Pats to steal didn't videotape it?

The segment on the trick plays from the Ravens and Colts games is awesome. I was hammered and didn't understand/care during the game but seeing the breakdown of the strategy, preparation, and execution of those plays shows the genius of BelichickDo Your Job on NFL Network right now, coming back from this break will be the beginning of the delfategate #### from inside the organization.
NiceIt just proves HobbsAB is a hater and that was a troll move putting some stupid poll up. In other news Pats looking to reinstate the 2 ball boys/locker room guys.

Credit to Brady and BB. But dominance does not really come to mind as they never really dominated anything but their division.
"Stage a camera"? Obviously you phrased it that way to give the impression that plugging in a videocamera and pointing it at the playbook sitting on the desk is an incredibly complicated task that opposing coaches couldn't possibly be expected to undertake. In other words, just more excuses. If an opposing coach truly believed the Pats were going to steal their playbook it would be unbelievably inept to not instruct someone on their staff to take 5 minutes to set up a camera and catch them in the act. Supposedly, opposing coaches took the time to set up fake playbooks, why not a camera? It's all B.S. plain and simple. Baseless accusations with zero proof from anonymous sources. But you all want to believe it so badly that you ignore obvious questions and make more excuses.

I think it is silly that the Patriots have to waste their time disputing false cheating accusations from irrational, whiny Salty Haters.Personally I think its silly that a playbook would even be left behind anyway. My issue is the expectation that all teams must waste their time and employ full-time counter-espionage tactics when playing the Patriots. Just ####### stop cheating.
The Patriots record in division games since 2001 is 67-19 (.779), their record in non-division games is 103-35 (.746). How high does a team's winning % have to be to be dominant?Maybe not for the length of time...but many teams were better than these Pats teams.

Win more than one title in 10 years. Correct and not for nothing, but for a manufactured punishment of a manufactured transgression to mollify a group of owners still pissed they can't beat them on the field and use the office of the commissioner to extract some measure of revenge. So the balls were not deflated and the patriots paid the money and a draft pick for nothing?
And still using the tired old salty haters schtick?

How do I know no one videotaped the Patriots stealing playbooks? Because to this point there is zero evidence of that having happened. That's the difference between you and me. I like to see or hear actual evidence and/or proof before believing something. Not only are you willing to blindly believe something without evidence or proof, but you're more than happy to further propagate and embellish the baseless accusations by suggesting that the Patriots were caught on video stealing playbooks, and the video was then destroyed by the commissioner. With zero evidence or proof, of course. Might as well add that to the litany of lies, falsehoods, and baseless accusations against the Patriots. There are throngs of sheep just like yourself just waiting to be fed.How do you know no one did, and the league ignored complaints?Besides, it wouldn't make any difference - Goodell would have destroyed any film evidence anyways."Stage a camera"?
