You might want to go back and read my posts. Basically started off by saying the Steelers were idiots for running the same set of signals for an entire season, hearing allegations that NE tapes signals, and then still rolling out the same old signals for the AFC Championship game. Essentially, they got what they deserved.
Exactly, this is what the rest of us are saying. Just play mano-a-mano for once without all the shenanigans and cheating. Its not that hard to do.

Ok Pats fans, let's say tonight I break into Belichick's house and steal a playbook he left in his home and hand it over to every one of their opponents for the 2015 season. In addition to this I'm going to video tape their defensive calls and offensive audibles and send them to the same teams. Let's also add I'm going to pump up Brady's footballs to the maximum allowable PSI and the opponent's balls to whatever they desire.

And to the person who said the Seahawks/Pats Superbowl (and I assume the outcome) was suspect: no it wasn't. The Patriots won on a fantastic play that was probably lower probability than a coin toss for them to execute perfectly. That wasn't the result of inflated balls, video tapes, or the Madden curse or anything. It was just great football that I happened to be on the opposite side of. Had that gone the other way I suspect it would have been "the cheating Seahawks and their PEDs" instead I guess.

The catch that got them in range was unreal. Seahawks were dead in the water prior to that.

Why be hypothetical when we already know how the Patriots, their fans and the league really reacted when they got cheated on a game, months before spygate?
The league did nothing, Belichick didn't complain and blamed his own team's execution, and in retrospect it probably cost them a superbowl but the fans barely mentioned it. No owners demanded an investigation, no make up calls were given, and no rules were changed.

Well if we assumed everything that has been claimed about the pats over the years were true, even not doing that knowing how sensitive everyone, the league, the fans, everyone is to NE these days...they aren't stupid. They realize that would set off a firestorm for the league, and make themselves look like the ultimate hypocrite. That wouldn't have been an option for the pats to demand an investigation into cheating allegations against other team.
Likewise, just because the cheaters didnt demand anything, doesn't mean cheating is okay by anybody. Just because the best cheater got played and accepts it as part of the game doesn't mean it should be a part of the game.

yeah, the ineptitude is unbelievable, right? that these coaches didn't spend the extra time (which I'm sure they readily had) to stage cameras to catch the Patriots whom, because of their systematic cheating system already had time allotted for such things...is beyond me.

Maybe not for the length of time...but many teams were better than these Pats teams.
Their most dominant team was one that lost in the super bowl.
Impressive to have that length of winning...impressive to win that many.
Credit to Brady and BB. But dominance does not really come to mind as they never really dominated anything but their division.

The segment on the trick plays from the Ravens and Colts games is awesome. I was hammered and didn't understand/care during the game but seeing the breakdown of the strategy, preparation, and execution of those plays shows the genius of Belichick

I think it's brilliant that the Pats have pushed the reinstatement issue. NFL keeps lying and ESPN has to act confused as to why the Pats need to ask for permission.

Obviously you phrased it that way to give the impression that plugging in a videocamera and pointing it at the playbook sitting on the desk is an incredibly complicated task that opposing coaches couldn't possibly be expected to undertake. In other words, just more excuses.If an opposing coach truly believed the Pats were going to steal their playbook it would be unbelievably inept to not instruct someone on their staff to take 5 minutes to set up a camera and catch them in the act. Supposedly, opposing coaches took the time to set up fake playbooks, why not a camera? Even a simple iphone camera?
It's all B.S. plain and simple. Baseless accusations with zero proof from anonymous sources. But you all want to believe it so badly that you ignore obvious questions and make more excuses.

Formation-gate, Waiver-gate, Kicking-ball Deflategate, Deflategate -- all of these were false/debunked accusations.

How do I know no one videotaped the Patriots stealing playbooks? Because to this point there is zero evidence of that having happened.That's the difference between you and me. I like to see or hear actual evidence and/or proof before believing something. Not only are you willing to blindly believe something without evidence or proof, but you're more than happy to further propagate and embellish the baseless accusations by suggesting that the Patriots were caught on video stealing playbooks, and the video was then destroyed by the commissioner. With zero evidence or proof, of course. Might as well add that to the litany of lies, falsehoods, and baseless accusations against the Patriots. There are throngs of sheep just like yourself just waiting to be fed.

They made Mike Reiss rescind his critique of it. I think it's still in the main ESPN article.
But it's a baseless accusation so it should be rescinded.
I guess this is where we are. Its like the problem with gun violence. We just need more guns in our churches and schools. We just need more teams to cheat like the Pats and then the playing field will be leveled.

ESPN is an entertainment network - unfortunately many "news" organizations have become this whether they admit it or not.
Spygate, Deflategate, the Patriots, this stuff is GOLD for ESPN and (ratings-wise) The NFL.
The OTA story/article/video/content was probably one of their most clicked/viewed pieces - why would they care if anything is actually "true"? Don't let the facts get in the way of a good story that sells (a lot!).
The NFL now has even more emotion injected into its fanbases (both Pats and non-Pats) with Kennedy Assassination Levels of intrigue, conspiracy, paranoia.
And it's comical really - one of the networks ran a Kennedy Assassination Special (CBS, ABC?) a few years back - they essentially proved Oswald acted alone - but few people actually changed their mind - it was simply more fun to believe the conspiracy.
The same thing will happen with The Pats - people's minds are already made up regardless of what "facts" come out and there is so much info out there that either side can cherry-pick whatever already supports their opinion. In the end, this era of the New England Patriots is and will be forever the stuff of Legends.
