Patriots vs Bills - Wild Card (-5, o/u 44) (1 Viewer)

As a guy who watches the Chiefs every single week, I can tell you with 100% confidence the defense right now is playing like when the Bills smoked the Chiefs earlier in the season.

The narrative you are hearing and reading from all these experts is wrong.

Their D is regressing right now.
I think the experts/media have such unhealthy man love for Mahomes that they ignore any faults the Chiefs may have and just defer to them as being the favorites no matter what.

Good for you buffalo fans.  Apparently we were rivals. I had no idea.  I remember Ivan popping off about the first game they had lawyer milloy like 18 years ago but after that the bills have been in constant rebuild. Grove and others have kept the faith and I'm happy for you, Allen looks great and I'll root for you guys in the playoffs over mahomes for sure and probably over vrabel too. Between you and the Bengals I'll root for whoever wins.  You've both suffered enough. But f Pittsburgh and kc

New England was about the last team I wanted to see the Bills play this week, but this feels like exercising 20 years of demons.

Now onto the next one.

I totally remember that.  Obviously it did not work out in my favor. ;)

Just wanted to say this may have been the worst broadcast of a playoff game I have ever seen.  Hardly any replays.  I don't blame the announcers, I generally think they are a good team, but the producers they had for this one were a joke.

This was about what I expected.  Surprised by the surprise of the Bills fans.  This was basically a repeat of Game 2.

I was just going to post this...I feel like when the Pats were really good they would get underrated and now that they are not that good, they are overrated...nothing about last night surprised me, right now Buffalo is a better team...the Pats are lacking weapons on offense and the D is slow and not difficult to attack if you can both run and throw...one thing that really concerns me is the lack of discipline this year with regard to penalties and substitutions as well as some very subpar game-planning...BB needs to take a good look at his staff (starting with his son and Mayo) because it is not up to past standards.

Oh come on. Sure, most thought the Bills were the better team, but this was a complete annihilation. I don't think anyone saw this kind of beat down coming.

Aligned with your comment about the defense being slow, I was irritated by Singletary's 2 rushing TDs and, separately, dismayed by how slow Hightower looked.  With JC Jackson looking to get paid, there will need to be a revamp on defense.  Curious to see if the team rolls with Agholor, Bourne and Meyers or looks to augment.

Unless you’re a fan of a team like the Bills/Browns/Chargers/Vikings you really wouldn’t understand.

Trust me...prior to Parcells and BB the Pats were the gold standard for that type of team...I do get it as I remember when the B's finally took down the Canadiens and the Sox did the same with the Yankees and the history there was way longer than what has been going on with the Pats-Bills...it feels great to put that in the rearview mirror.

If they don't add weapons it will be irresponsible...they have a ton of holes but the most important thing right now is Mac's development and that is not gonna happen with their current WR/TE corps...as long as Mac keeps developing they will be on the path to becoming a legit contender again.

Whatever makes you feel better I guess, but no, you didn't.

Here is what I wrote...I guess solidly doesn't do last night justice but I was not surprised at all...the Pats have been heading south starting with that Indy game.

Pats are vastly improved from last year and they are headed in the right direction but they are running out of gas because they still have obvious holes on both sides of the ball…the Bills are a better team right now and I expect Allen to be by far the best player on the field tonight…while I love Mac he is still an inexperienced rookie and he is not ready to go toe-to-toe with an MVP candidate as good as Allen (especially on the road)…while weather will be an issue it won’t have a dramatic effect on the game since they are both cold weather teams…outside of the obvious x-factor of turnovers and injuries I think the Bills win solidly.

I feel like they give up 2 extra yards on every run.

That's because you haven't lived through what we've lived through.

You remember toward the end of Game 2, when you guys scored and the Bills got the ball back with a 5-point lead and ~7:30 on the clock?  The drought-era Bills figure out a way to lose that game 95% of the time.  Every Bills fan knows it.  It's not like New England blew us out every time we played during the drought years.  We had lots of tight games, including lots of games where we had every opportunity to win, and pretty much every single time either TB12 did something soul-crushing or we #### the bed or both.  Getting the ball in that situation and simply taking 5 minutes off the clock while scoring a clinching TD was like something out of a dream.

This week, I avoided watching any highlights of that game because there was no way the Bills would put it all together like that twice.  No way could a Bills QB play light-out football against a Belichick defense twice in a season.  No reason to get my hopes up.  I figured we would probably win -- we were favored for a reason -- but it was going to a tough game.  I knew that a game like last night was a theoretical possibility, but that was it.  No way would that actually happen because good things never happen to this franchise.

Going back to the game they played in Dec, Buffalo scored a TD on 9 strait possessions (if you take out the kneel down at the end of the game) and 10 out of 11.
