Who care's?

Should I start my own thread about what the Bills record will be in 2008?

Or how about the Steelers?

Maybe even the Dolphins. That would be fun.

Not trying to sound like a jerk, cause I know it's coming off that way. But why must there always be garbage about the Patriots. Constantly.

I don't think you're being a jerk. I just figured it was an appropriate question considering the Pats just finished a perfect season which hasn't been done in over 30 years. Bills 9-7Steelers 10-6Dolphins 7-9

Besides waiting for this year to end, I think we may want to wait to see who the players and coaches are before making any assessment of next year's team.

Large font is gayer.. The regular season is closed out, how long should I wait to ask what there record will be for the next regualar season?

Evilgrin don't let your emotions carry over into posting just because your team was a huge disappointment. BTW your avatar is homo ish ...

Having read all the Patriout threads around here I have surmised that after the Superbowl victory 84- 0 against their next hapless victim that Bellicheck and Brady will ascened into heaven. The ascension shall mark the beginning of a new age of unrivaled peace, prosperity, health, and Rollerball. Seems there will never again be any sense in playing football as all efforts will pale in comparison to these wonders of the ages.

I plan on being there for the ascension as I have it on good faith that should their shadow fall across you while they rise, you will be booned with unususal lenght, girth, virility, and you will obtain a cleft chin and hair that never needs product. The woman will go wild.

*** Are they going to win the Super Bowl this year?

*** Will Randy Moss be on the team in 2008?

*** Can their core pieces stay healthy?

*** Will Asante Samuel re-sign?

*** Do the Patriots find an immediate impact player with their top 10 pick?

*** Do Seau and Bruschi retire?

Just for kicks and grins, I'll say they finish 13-3 next year IF Moss is back in the fold, 12-4 without him.

:hifive:Edit to add that JWood's comments are also Good Posting and outline the more legitimate questions to answer before laying out a prediction.16-0 is quite an accomplishment; however, the fact is - their due for a game where the ball just doesn't bounce their way. The law of averages may be the only thing that can stop the Pats at this point - but it is out there looming large for NE.

Reading this thread, its obvious that Patriot haters are getting a bit sensitive. Patriot fans, try not to talk about your team so much. Just because they are 16-0 and have a chance to do something unprecedented in NFL history does not mean people in a football forum would be interested in them.

when the ball doesn't bounce the patriots way they don't get a blowout victory just a regular one.

On paper they have a much easier schedule than they had in 2007. Assuming no major injuries or free agent losses I can't see the Patriots being worse than 12-4 on the low side.

I think there is also an outside chance they could go 16-0. That schedule seems quite easy with the exception of Indy + San Diego.

My main concern is that they are old at lb and stand more than a 50/50 chance of losing Asante Samuel to free agency. If they were to lose Samuel they would not have a shut down cb and would have to start rebuilding the lb core.

If I were a betting man i'd say 13-3.

Like a timeout on 4th down that if not called, would've made the Pats just like any other very good team?

Asante Samuel is not a shutdown corner. Some very dumb GM is going to find that out the hard way after he overpays him.

I find this almost impossible to answer as there are way too many scenarios that could impact the outcome.

Is Belichick back?

Are his assistants back?

Can they re-sign Moss?

How about Asante?

Do Seau, Bruschi, and/or Harrsion retire?

Is Colvin back (he could easily be a cap casualty)?

What about Stallworth (due $11M next year)?

Is everyone healthy?

If most of these people return and the team stays healthy, I could easily see them being 14-2 (maybe even better if they add more talent). If things don't go their way maybe they dip to 11-5 at the worst.

I'd say finish this season out, wait till FA/Draft is done and then this thread would have been better. They will lose a at least 1 game next year though.

What if someone pulls a Raiders and trades them the best player at their position for a 4th rounder; all the while, the balance of the team stays intact?
