Pats vs. Bills (1 Viewer)

I've taken a look at the early line here, and from 7 different sources, the average is New England -16 over Buffalo.

I'm sure the line will move down, as folks will be taking a shot with that many points ... but ...

I'd take the Bills here with as little as 7. This is a classic "trap/letdown" spot for the Pats. I honestly think NE is the most talented team in the NFL. They look unstoppable this year, no doubt.

But they've just completed two physically/emotionally draining weeks. I see them playing less than inspired ball this week. True, the Bills aren't much to contend with, but ... I LOVE them with the points.

Give me double digits here, and I take it to the bank :goodposting:

16 points in a divisional game is way too much, i dont care who the teams are.

Agreed, but, the crux of my post was that I'd take the Bills with as little as 7 points. I just don't see the Pats hitting on all cylinders this week ... though, hitting on only 50% will be enough to win this one, but definitely not cover anything over 7, IMHO.

I dunno the Steelers beat them by 23 this week, and if not for some missed oportunities would have been more around 38. But hey, you never know.

Agreed. I can see a 4 int day for Losman and a shutout by the way that defense is playing right now. These are two teams going in opposite directions it seems.

Last two years the Pats have only beaten the Bills by a total of 7 points in New England.

And in Buffalo by a total of 50 points.2006 28 - 62005 35 - 7The Bills have gotten dealt 2 tough D's already this year, I do believe their offense is better then it's looked so far, but still, Losman has yet to throw a TD, and they only have 1 offensive TD in 2 games, which came when Lynch broke off a 23 yarder when the Broncos were looking for a pass on 3rd and 11, and they've only scored 10 offensive points. On the other side of the ball they have a bunch of DBs banged up, and a LB too, Brady/Moss/Welker/Stallworth/Watson against a hurting or second string secondary?!? That's almost like cheating. If you think for a second that Bill won't have the guys focused and pumped for this game, you've been listening to too many sports analysts and not paying attention to what happens on the field. He wants nothing more than to destroy the league this year. If I had to bet this game, I'd take the Pats with -16, but I don't bet Pats games. Actually, I'd probably tease it and get the spread down.

Le Crow is SERVED ... kinda chewy ... tastes like chicken. :goodposting:

One tip for handicapping the Patriots this year. The Pats are putting up 38 this week. Subtract the spread and decide whether the other team can score that many points. Then Bet.

Edit. Next week they play the Bengals. Expect 45-55 pts and adjust accordingly.
