I rather deal with the old farts from the Fins team every now and then on TV, than deal the toolbag bandwagon Patriots fans that I see at work every day. Go Colts

This pole is fla\/\/ed. No option for a tie that taints both their records?

Signed, an Indiana native who was a Bears fan before the Colts moved in and is still hacked that the Bears lost the SB to the Colts and also someone who believe the Patriots are exuding bad karma.

ok, colts fans -- bring it!!

at last an honest contest w/a pro organization instead of all these losers popping off about how they're jealous over the pats success.

what I'm curious about is which of you colts fans are honestly confident that you'll win, and which are hoping for a win.

own up -- there's no shame.

I was confident in 2 pats wins last year, and wrong both times.

however, I am 10x as confident now as I was then.

gotta go with the pats.

maybe now that brady is putting manning in his place will cut down on all those manning commercials!

hey -- I like manning's commercials.

at least the 'will you sign my melon, I'm never washing this hand, rub some dirt on it, etc' ones.

I want the Patriots to go 16-0. It's time for the old codgers in Miami to put away the champagne glasses. Even better will be if the Dolphins to go 0-16 at the same time.Seeing this coming and having adjusted my preseason fantasy rankings accordingly certainly affects my stance. It will make the pathetic and brain-dead Pats fan set here even less tolerable than they are already, but that's OK, no one forces me to visit the Shark Pool.
I gotta say that as much as I hate the Pats (and this is well documented to anyone who reads these posts) there would be something quite nice in shutting up those arrogant ex-Dolphins with their ridiculous champagne toast. I've always hated that they actually celebrate when other people lose; classless! I guess there's a silver lining in everything...
I think seeing Moss and Stallworth celebrating each year would be even worse.

I think the Colts WIN this game by two touchdowns. I think the Colts have a better Defense and that will be the difference. If for some reason the Patsys run the score up on them then look for Bob Sanders to take Brady's knee late in the fourth quarter.

I think that's a urban legend started by ESPN. I don't think they really do any champagne toast, nor do they gather to celebrate when the last undefeated team loses.

and now we see the true class of the colts and their fans....my prediction a few days ago in another thread was pats by 20 and I'll stick to that.

But I also think the value put on this game is way way over rated.

I disagree. The winner has essentially a two-game lead in the race for HFA. That's pretty important.

Then after that they take eom's knee. By the way I'm not a Colts fan so shut the funk up with all your Patriot propaganda. Do you work at Fox News? Is that you Bill O'Reilly?

Ummmmm, you know, if the Colts keep winning and winning and winning (like they always seem to do, especially at home), you can have the best of both worlds. No more champagne popping from the old Dolphins and no Patsy tools bragging about their cheating team for the next 50 years. It is possible that the Colts, not the Patriots, could end up 16-0 this year.

What I wish to see is the Colts up by enough points so that at the end of the game, they pull Manning and Dungy shows them how a classy coach and organization wins but doesn't slap them in the face while doing it.

What I think will happen is a good effort by Indy. That they'll have a reasonable shot in the 2nd half of winning but that NE wins. This issue won't be talked about again for a few weeks because this game isn't going to be a blowout situation and then NE has a bye soon so it'll die down to a certain degree.

Colts fan, but if the Pats come and beat the defending champs in our own house I'd give them huge respect.

Obviously I'd love it if we do beat them, but you won't hear me crowing about it.

I think NE wins by 14. And, I think this game is effectively for home field. The winner would then have to lose two of their remaining games, and the loser win out to reverse that effect. I just don't see it happening. Possible, but not likely. I say it's for home field.

Though I hate the ending of last years AFCG, I have watched it over and over. It's just simply a great game. Two great QB's making play after play. This will be a bit different, because NE's secondary isn't riddled w/ injury, and Brady has true weapons. I expect the play to be at the same high level as last year, only a very different outcome, because of these two changes. Indy is effectively the same team, NE is not.

the hammer will be dropped. On the team most people will be rooting for. By the team that most people think will win. Gotta love these polls.

Of course it's important. But nowhere near as important as the value most casual fans and media will put on this game. This is another game of the decade yada yada. It's a game to determine home field advantage in the playoffs assuming both teams keep rolling. That's very big. Especially for Indy. But not nearly as big as the game people will build this up to be in my opinion. :goodposting: J

Colts. It's much easier to root for Dungy than for Belichick. And I wouldn't mind seeing Brady hang Moss out to dry over the middle for Bob Sanders once either.

Steve Young went on and on about how regular season games like this aren't that big a deal. Steve is a very cerebral guy, who I believe personally didn't let those regular season outcomes affect the playoff re-match, but have to imagine lots of swagger after this game... but you are right. Something goofy in this game will happen... like Moss or Addai getting knocked out, and thusly making the playoff matchup a whole new matchup.

I really don't care who wins. I need both teams to loose as a Steeler fan. Reality tells me that the Steelers are not better than either of these teams anyway though. So, I'll route for the team I feel is better, the Patriots.

Actually, I hope the Pats win simply because I think the board is setting a new president for hate and that has actually become very entertaining.

I still say that Indy is the only team that is in the way of the Patriots grabbing NFL immortality. Why do we still talk about the 72 Dolphins? Is it the way Bob Griese so skillfully led the team on surgical offensive drives? NO. It's that big bad "undefeated" that keeps the 72 Phins in the RAM portion of our brain. New England going undefeated makes the 07 Patriots "That Team" that gets talked about throughout the next generation. That's HUGE.Now that this Patriot team has found it's groove, Indy might be the only team on their schedule that can stay within 21 points of them at this point.

I think the chance at being a part of football history means something to Coach B. I think Dungy won't be that upset if they lose this game. He'll say 'oh well, we learned a lot. That sure was a tough one. It's time to review some film and get prepared for next week'. Dungy is more concerned with the Superbowl as a one game event. Coach B sees the SB as the capper to their mark in history.

Hi stat,I guess you are right there, I hadn't thought of that angle. Unseating the 72 Dolphins would be huge. I guess I was looking more at the 07 season but I see what you mean there.

I don't want to see Brady, Moss and BB doing the same thing, I can stomach the 72 Fins, not this team...
 Pats are the least likable team in the NFL. Pats fans have quickly morphed into being the most tool-ish fans in the NFL.

This poll is going to be Colts in a landslide.
So, is there any doubt why the Patriots would want to blow teams out this year? This quote exemplifies the Patriots 2007 season and why they are doing what they are doing. Pats fans Tool-ish? Why? Because, we have reacted in the exact same fashion that you would have if it were your hometown team? The only clear thing that has come to light this season is just how envious all of America (excluding nationwide Pats fans) is of this organization and what it has accomplished this past decade.
