$100-125/head dinner out on neutral ground (dining out) is a bit different than hosting a $10-20/head cookout at your home.

I understand the point of the initial question and agree with the premise of the base discussion..... but anyone comparing the two is HOPEFULLY just being obtuse.
I serve only the finest meats and wine.

 
Wanted to give my wife a nice birthday dinner so invited 10 of our closes friends and family to this family style restaurant by us. In the mass text, I ended it by saying dinner was on me. First time doing this. Its $55 pp so whole thing is gonna run me around $700. Should be fun.

Should have bought your wife a 700 dollar something instead and had your loser friends pay their own way
