People who pray, how often do you pray? (1 Viewer)

comfortably numb

When I was deeply involved in scripture (9-14 years ago) I would pray about 4-8 times a day

morning

night

before/after reading scripture

if something hit me throughout the day or a specific incident

people who pray. How often do you pray?

once a day?

only at church?

few times a day?

When people say thoughts and prayers offered.

Do you pray at the moment or hold it til your next prayer session?

Not looking to judge or offend anyone hopefully no one else will either

Few times a day.

If I say I am praying for someone, I do it right away. To me, it isnt a hollow statement.

I'd say I don't do "formal" prayers very often. By "formal", I mean starting off with some salutation, some type of structured format throughout, and closing with an "In Jesus name, Amen."

But, during the day, I have many times when I think about things while also thinking about how God hears those thoughts. I consider that to be prayer, too.

Amen.

I pray all the time, throughout the day. When something good happens or I receive something I offer thanks to God. When I am afraid or need help I ask God for help. When I'm thinking or working through something I pray for guidance. I don't stop, kneel down, and offer a wrote pray of some kind. I just talk to God, internally most of the time, thinking a lot more than audibly. God is with me all the time and I talk to Him as I would anyone else who was with me all the time. I do formally stop and pray just to pray as well. Usually before bed or when wake up, always before meals. Other than offering thanks before eating 99% of the praying I do, outside of a service, nobody else would know I'm praying.
